Update 21.10.2014: Deep Purple 4-3-3, 4-3-2-1 and 4-3-1-2 edition added.

After extensive tweaking, I've finally made the 4-2-3-1 Deep Purple work with three AMC's instead of AML, AMC and AMR. Who haven't dreamed about a working three AMC tactic? Well, here you have it:
4-2-3-1 Deep Purple AMC edition with OI's

Added a 3-5-2 version of the Solid Highscore tactic: 3-5-2 Solid Highscore
I use this tactic away and the 3-4-3 at home, but both this and the 3-4-3 work alone too

Also added an asymmetrical version of the Deep Purple tactic:

Update 19.10.2014:
Last five days I've been working on yet another tactic for FM13. I miss the old 2-5-3 angels v2 tactic because I just love having three strikers, but I didn't feel it was competitive enough against my other recently made tactics. So I have now made a highly competitive three-striker tactic. I am sure many of you will love it

Update 14.10.2014:

I have been working on a new tactic, a deep 4-2-3-1, and now it is finally complete. It is insanely high scoring. Perhaps the highest scoring tactic it is possible to make. I urge you to try this tactic. It is my new favorite tactic by far!

Added a tripleweak of the Rock in a 4-5-1, it did even better than the 4-4-2!

Added a tripletweak of the Rock 4-4-2. It did immense in the test above

Added Jassar and Malte's tweak of the Rock, as I think it's really good! (4-4-2)

Added a defensive version of the 2-7-1 Sicilian Rock Mix! See results in test #3

Update 07.08.2013: New tactic tests are on the way. One format where the teams I manage have players with 14 in all stats and 10.000 reputation (top team test), and one format where teams have players with 10 in all stats and 5.000 reputation (underdog test).

Update 31.07.2013: I've uploaded a new tactic, 4-1-3-2 Queen's Gambit! I've tested it against the Rock Classic in a league derby match between Manchester United and Manchester City (Played the same match 10 times):

Update 06.06: I am currently testing many of my tactics in a "Liverpool template game". I will also test a lot of other popular tactics on FM-base for reference. All tactics will then be tested against the same teams in the same order, with the same team. I will be going on vacation BETWEEN the matches, so there will be zero man management. I will upload the Premier Division Table here when I'm done Be patient

Keep in mind that some of the tactics might perform better with all the "right" player types. This will just be a "plug and play" test.

Also, keep in mind that the results does not prove that one tactic is better than another, as I have only tested with one team, and only for 20 matches each tactic. (It is hugely time consuming...)

k3zz4's training tips to get 100% fluid tactic before season starts:

Pre season tips to get 100% fluid before start of season:
- Put the tactic in the 3 slots.
- Training: Cohesion en very heavy
- Trainingbar completely at the left (so 50%/50% training)
- Match prep: Tactic only. And rest after game ticked only.
- Arrange at least 10 friendly's. Against harder teams tactic becomes faster fluid BUT morale can go down
so best is to like 3 easy friendly's , 4 hard friendly's and then 3 easy friendly's so morale is high enough


Remember that when using plug and play tactics in FM, success is only 50% about the tactic. The other 50% goes into man management, training and player purchases!

Please post your results and feedback, so I can keep improving (Please only whole seasons, as RNG can be a huge factor in singular matches)

I really think flat 442 is the best formation in this years edition. Both very solid and very fluid upfront.

tested million formations and this one is more effective.
testing with MUFC also. till now good results.

Thanks for the shout You should try out this one. I believe with the new patch 13.3.3, it is much easier making a stable tactic. And I do find the one I made this time better than all my other ones, at least from own experience. But that could be explained by the match engine being better now.

And, sleep is kind of up and down Sometimes I get 2 hours, sometimes I get 8 hours

Central Back has normal tackling, but right back and BWM are set to hard tackling. Try reduce them to normal and see if it helps

I don't use any player filter. Just follow the standard filter for each role. If you use the classic edition:

GK: Goalkeeper
Backs: Fullbacks
Centre backs: Central defender
MCL: Central midfielder
MCR: Ball winning midfielder
Wings: Wingers or inside forwards, whatever you prefer.
STCL: Poacher
STCR: Complete forward or trequartista

Classic. And that's the one I recommend But I had to upload a non-classic tactic too for those who play classic-mode.
