Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Mr Landvatn,

Congrats on the new tactic - it looks ace.

Would there be any possibility of doing a version of this one in the Wizard style?

I know it's not your favoured tactic style but there is a market out here for those kinds!

Finally, do you use any Opposition Instructions in the new tactic?

Decided to give the the new tactic a crack. I assume the recommended tactic is the 4-3-3, not the AMC version? Either way, the 4-3-3 is what I'm using. This was the first game (non-fluid). The fact that all three of my strikers scored is encouraging :)

EDIT: Game #2 (still not fluid) was a Champions League semi-final game against Man United (so obviously not a game they approached casually). Only two goals this time (one for each for the two strikers who played all 90 minutes) but the number of shots and clear-cut chances tells a story.

EDIT #2:
Here are the next three games. I'll probably stop posting screenshots after this but I thought I'd at least give you a glimpse of how this was going for me. After the United CL game came Southampton away in the league. Their goal was headed in at the near post from a corner, so hardly a failing of the tactic. The four goals we scored absolutely comes from the tactic though.

Next was the return fixture against United. This time we were given a difficult game and we basically overpowered. I don't like crediting the tactic in games like these and I think that when people do they're giving it undue credit. I know we drew and had more clear-cut chances but they had way more shots. If I was playing as United and had drawn this game, I'd use excuse the result by saying "we should have won but the strikers didn't perform".

The fifth game was another game against United; this time at home in the league. More shots, more clear-cut chances, deserved winners.

I'll definitely keep this up but almost certainly not continue posting screenshots of individual games. The results are very encouraging so far (and might even be better if I was playing with three DMs instead of a DM and two CMs who have been relocated).

I want to keep everybody on the same thread. Easier for me to be of service to everyone then.

All my tactics are plug and play. They don't need any explanation.

Oh man this is working amazing for wigan (updated so they are in championship) so far out of 5 games haven't lost yet.

EDIT: I just lost :(

I do have paypal, yes. Made a link to it at the front page :) I'm thinking about making an FM blog in the future sometime though. But not right now :)

It's possible to make a decent 4-2-2-2 wingers tactic, but far from top notch quality. In the current patch that is.

Thank you for your reply :)
I shall hit your paypal with a small thank you soon :)

A couple more screenshots (and then I'm done) Champions League final (still using the 4-3-3). All three strikers scored again and my CB scored from a corner.

I did lose a game with this tactic though. I got hammered by Tottenham in the F.A. Cup final. Then I played them again away in the league and demolished them. They played the same formation in both games too so I don't know if the loss was just a product of the game deciding it was time for my players to all perform badly or if their players were much more motivated for the cup game. This was still a quadruple winning season though so I can't complain.
