Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Gonna try your latest tweak now malte with Liverpool :) Should have a really strong team after this transfer window lol!

malte what do u do for individual training ? do u put them all on heavy like in op ?

Sometimes. As with my test saves ive gone with Balanced medium + Defensive Positioning... (imo it does not have that big of an impact on the tactics)... the most important part in my opinion.. is the man management, and the use of 'right' players in the 'right' spot. I.e players with the right kind of attributes. :)

As i said in an earlier post;

in all of my test saves.. (Novara, Hamburg, Newcaslte) ive tested a different approach on team talks. I usually just get a good assistant manager.. but this time ive gone with JVP (?) oldschool team talks... they worked really well in 2012 i guess.. but they seem to do the job still...

"Pre game: Ask assistant."

"1 goal up HT: Calm -> Dont get complacent"
"2 goal up HT: Calm -> You have played well but can do better"
"3 goal up HT: Calm -> Dont get complacent"
"Draw HT: Assertive -> Im not happy"
"Loss HT: Aggressive -> Any of those aggressive talks"

FT win: Calm -> happy
FT draw/loss -> aggressive

Well first off; ive made it more "comapact". Ive tweaked the mentalities, less gap between the entire team. Ive made it to 3 different mentality structures, you could say.

One "unit" handle the defensive part of the team.. (the GK, the CD's). One "unit" handle the normal/aka the support part of the team (the DMC and the fullback). And the rest of the team (wingers/strikers) handle the offensive part of the team.. Before the DMC's used the all-out-attack approach.. witch imo left gaps... i think with this tweak you got less gaps and a bit more cautious approach... witch seems to be working quite good :) And i also 'upped' the tempo, to make it more leathal when the team has the ball...Ive also both decreased (for the DMC and defensive part of the team) the CF... and made the wingers and strikers the creative part of the team, witch seems to be working out nicely.

Sorry for my bad english.. im from sweden :)

Thx (don't worry about your english... I'm French :P )

So, To be sure to have understood, you change the tactic in order to have a more compact block team.
The pace is much more important as well.

The only negative comment I could make about JASSARROCK-MALTETWEAK-rockcorners is that the attackers were sometimes strange behavior and wingers could be sharper.

Is that with your tactic, these roles have improved?

This one; 442ROCKTWEAK-revisit by Malte722.tac - Speedy Share - upload your files here

I "re-visited" the 442.. and so far it going really good..

Test 1 Novara (media pred 6):

and im currently trying it with Newcastle..

So far with "scums";

Edit: May also tell you that im doing this testing with "JVP" oldschool team talks;

"Pre game: Asking assistant manager."

"1 goal lead HT: Calm -> Don't get complacent."

"2 goal lead HT: Calm -> Youve played well but are capable of better."

"3 goals up HT: Calm -> Don't get complacent."

"Draw HT: Assertive -> I'am not happy with your performance."

"Loss HT: Aggressive -> Any of the aggressive talks.."

FT: Win -> Calm -> Good job
FT: Draw/Loss: -> Aggressive."

:)
Match prepation?
tactic was used both at home and away?

Yup. I wanted it to be more defensive minded. The earlier version seemed to be leaving quite a big gap between the midfield and the defenders, so i wanted to fix that. Well, pace? Pace is allways important, in all tactics, at least from my point of view.

Strange behavior? Well it could be down to the creative freedom. If you are manageing a lower league side, you might want to reduce the creative freedom, or try to get better players in those positions. In this new version, the wingers and the striker do use quite a lot of creative freedom, however; im not seeing that as a problem because ive tried it with Novara. The players; or should i say.. wingers/strikers in that team does not have that much of flair nor creativity.

Ive tried alot of things; trying NO CF at all for the entire team, but i do believe that they NEED a little bit of CF in order to think of their own; to create and find positions.. witch lead to CCC's, that we all love ;)

But if you do find they behaving strange, try to put the CF to the middle (10 clicks) for the wingers and the striker. I don't think you sould go less than 10.. because you are then restricting them from thinking on their own.

And once again; sorry for my bad english ;)

Haha.. snus och Sol med lime som står på agendan ;)

lol Sol will do, I'll pass on the snus though :D

Testing your tweaked tactic now with WBA with just the one signing, signed Libor Kozak as Shane Long got injured for 2 months a week before seasons start, only 2 matches played so far though.

I am back.

Well.. regarding the players; the most important attribute is Teamwork / work rate. But it's the usual;

GK: Regular GK. One on one, Reflexes, Command of area, Aerial Ability, Handling, Rushing Out.

Fullback: Crossing, Marking, Tackling, Anticipation, Positioning, Teamwork, Work Rate, Pace

DC: Marking, Tackling, Heading, Composure, Decisions, Determination, Positioning, Strength

DMC's: Marking, Tackling, Decisions, Positioning, Teamwork, Work Rate, Strength, Concentration.

Wingers: Crossing, Passing, Anticipation, Decisions, Determination, Off the ball, Teamwork, Work Rate.

Strikers: Dribbling, Finnishing, First touch, Composure, Off the ball, Anticipation, Pace.

As for most of the tactics :)

Link for the new tactic? and is the tactic for top teams or underdog ? Thanks!
