Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

I've been using the 4-5-1 and 442 triple tweak with great success.

I started with FC Den Bosch, a Dutch club in 2nd division. I had no transfer budget, **** facilities.

Because of this buying players was no option.
So I went Ajax style.. Improved training facilities. Bought up players that I thought would become gems. They turned out well and exactly how I wanted them to be. Unfortunately in the end with my limited finances I couldn't keep them. So I sold with huge profit (30+ million). And invested this in the club, making new gems.

Seasons:
1. Promoted to Eredivisie
2. Ended 10th, severe underdog
3. 8th, improvements of my youth were starting
4. 3rd, close call for first even.
5. 3rd, won knvb cup
6. 1st, knvb cup
7. 1st, knvb cup, quarter final lost vs Real Madrid
8. 1st, knvb cup, semi final cl, lost against city
9. 1st, knvb cup, final cl lost vs Barcelona
10. Current season , will be 1st. Beat Barcelona in group stage already.

301 won, 70 drawn, 74 lost! Highest fee spent was 8.1 million ...

I'm having a blast! This is way more fun as starting off with united or something. Hopefully I will now win cl. It will then have taken me 10 seasons from **** to top ...

Hi mr Malte, did u have a look on this ?? because this is nice since it has AMC, which in Fm13, there're lots of great AMC..
i hope you will look into it some time, maybe work on it, have few tweaks ;)

Posted some pages earlier about the training! The recommendations on the first page, is it just for your new updated tactics or should i implement it on the tactic i am using to? 4-1-4-1 rock TC version?

What ppms have people had success with in this thread? Specifically triple tweak 451?

Spot on chap! Much prefer saves like this! I Never EVER start a save with the club I support and have a season ticket at in real life.

On FM13 I start lower and love to try build something. Yes sometimes I jump ship to a bigger club but I try play it as real as I can. Starting with Sunday League experience (which to be fair is true as ive managed a sunday league side for about 5 years lol)
 
Ive finally caught up to the latest post on this thread. Been super busy like Mr.L and been playing catch up ever since.

I see Malte has developed a new tactic. Not had a chance to look at it yet as ive still been busy with the previous 4-5-1 tripletweak / 4-4-2 tweaked etc..(prob wrong name but you get what I mean lol). They've worked wonders with my Feyenoord side!

No playmaker. But do keep it ticked. Same goes for all the tactics, no playmaker selected, but the option is still ticked.

Here's and update of my Man U save. 20 games in using Malte's re-visit tactic.

The draw away to PSG was with a slightly weakened team as I had already qualified.

Overall I'd have to say it's the best tactic I've used in a long time, but would prefer it if the strikers score a bit more.
 
Apologies if this has been answered before, but I have a query about players required for the various tactics.

Central Midfielder is not a role you can choose for a DMC so are you meant to sign central midfielders and play them out of position? Or are you meant to sign any old DMC and then apply the individual training as per the opening post?
 
Can anyone help? At the moment, I can't get any of these tactics to work, despite having a squad easily good enough to win the league!
 
any ideas how to tweak the 442 revised to make the best out of strikers? i got one top scorer in the CL but less than 20goals in the league where i dominated with only 1 draw.
 
I'm gonna try to tweak one of the strikers to come deep and open spaces in the middle of defence so the poacher gets some space and also the target balls. Thoughts?

You want box to box midfielders. So find MC, train them box to box and also im DMC position.

Works well :)

My best box to box midfielder also has good finishing. He scores for fun...

Ps. Train central midfielder when they have low tackling / marking only. Then back to box to box.
