Mr Langvatn's Tactic Thread (Updated for 13.3.3)

Mr L, As you can see in the ss below, it's my pre-season result with Man United using your 2-5-3 V2. If such result are to go with, i can only say one word 'IMPRESSIVE'! The way my team are creating chances and scoring goals seems effortlessly. However, as you see, i conceded an avg of 2 goals in 4 successive games after having 3 straight clean sheet and during the 7 games i had played, i got 4 red card during those time. What can i do to minimal or prevent such circumstances from occuring on a regular basis?

Currently using the 2-5-3 V2 with Man Utd too.

As you can see - I've only lost 1 game vs Man City and that was due to getting 3 red cards, using all my subs with a player injured.

Winning is quit hard with 6 out field players ^.^

I made my Director of Football able to buy first team players (just to see who he would buy) and he bought Eriksen (30.5m) and Fellaini (25m).

Loving the tactics so far!!! gj

Fine your players who get a red and they will think twice about making the same mistake again

Currently bidding for Sandro and James Rodriguez. However, we couldn't come to terms with the contract, and now the clubs doesn't want to negotiate with me. It just keep reject any offers I made for them. Does anyone know why is this so? It will be very thankful! (:
 
I know that Mr. L says he does not use Opponent Instructions, however I found out that in my current save with The Rock Classic TC version I have started getting fantastic results after doing a few Opponent Instructions every match (mainly using; show onto weaker foot to attacking players with left-only or right-only and tackling hard to anyone with less than 10 bravery).

Anyone else tried out different OI's with Mr. L's great tactics? I have yet to figure out when should I be using Closing Down or Tight Marking.

just a quick backstory I have been playing fm for years and years and have sort of fell out of love with the game last few years.
Mr L tactics have given me the bug again, I took over Hannover 96 in November first season when they were bottom of the league.
I had a decent squad in my view and played the rock classic tactic, I finished 8th and won the German cup beating bayern in the semi. 2nd season I rotated between rock classic and 2 5 3 angels and finished 3rd in the league.

just a quick question would you guys recommend one tactic now I'm in champions league or rotate between the 2

Rock Classic and Sicilian Defense should be very good in CL for you then. Maybe the 2-5-3 against smaller teams :)

But you might end up even better overall by sticking to the rock for all games, so they dont get confused :)

i have been training them 3 tactics anyway so hopefully I can have some success in champions league.

i will also keep your idea of not buying too many players in mind as I think that is where I normally fail after a good season I tend to bring 7-8 new players in
 
I want to ask if the 2-5-3 Angels v2 is good for Borussia Dortmund and if someone had a sucess with them which tactic(s) did you use ? ( also i saw today that there is a summer transfers update and is this changing something for the tactics or it doesn't matter)? Thanks

It works extremely well in Germany :) Summer transfers update doesn't change the match engine... :P
 
Started a test as my home club Walsall, touted 17th and always relegated by CPU within two seasons.

Signings were 2 Quite **** loans for squad depth

Currently top after 10 games by 3 points, lost 1 drew 2 won 7, and the tactic isn't yet fluid

Rock Classic is still the most complete tactic I see, works for all teams :)
