Must have blu-rays?

Excuse me for being stupid but what does Blu-Ray offer that a normal DVD player does not?

about 5 times the resolution, so just a much sharpe/better picture, and better sound. + usually loads of extras on the disc.

Okay thankyou , how much do you reckon it will cost if I wanted to buy one?

I was just listing films I'd have in a collection rather than ones that will make your eyes pop out. And Memento, is an awesome movie.

Ah, gotcha. I was kinda more into films that would look awesome on blu-ray, e.g. special fx.

60-200£

I'm gonna get a PS3 though.

I'd get a blu-ray player, if I had a decent television.

It's on the list.

Got to agree with the suggestions of some of the David Attenborough series', as well as band of brothers. Avatar is gash so pass on that.

District 9 is awesome, can't wait for District 10.

Not sure if they've seen a Blu Ray release yet but Hard Boiled and The Killer would be awesome.

Avatar's very good on blu-ray. Urm, I've got the Truman Show on Blu-ray so **** you all.

8) Sphere
9) LotR Trilogy (of course)
10) Matrix Trilogy (of course)
11) No Country for Old Men (great movie)

Raikan, Troy is HORRENDOUSLY bad. It may be the worst Hollywood movie I've seen;p

Terry Gilliam’s landmark 1985 cult classic movie Brazil will make its Blu-ray debut from Universal Studios Home Entertainment on July 12.

:wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub::wub:

Edward Scissor Hands, Star Wars Trilogy, Mission Impossible, Starsky and Hutch is brilliant, Taken, Shawshank Redemption, Casino Royale, Independance Day, Armegeddon, Deep Impact....

Tron (Newest one.) Looks spectacular in Blu-ray.
Avatar. Which is pretty much a given.
Fifth Element. Just to see every inch of Leeloo's wonderful hair.

Independence Day is a shout actually!

And I've currently got the Rambo films, the Expendables and Terminator II.
