Hi mate i've used this tactic with Everton for 4 seasons, won the league every year, champions league once...
Gone into the new season and my goals have SERIOUSLY dried up.. i'm still winning games but it's like 1-0 or 2-1.. still dominate possession and have plenty of shots.. i've tried changing the training around but it hasn't really worked... any advice?

Training won't affect this. How much have you changed the team over closed season? Also ppm's of your players may not be suitable. The ai will evolve to set up against you so it does get more difficult.

Just finished my third season with Hartlepool, followed by the third successive promotion and making ourselves in to the premier league.

First of the results. First two seasons I won the respective league easily, was at first coming in to late December in the championship when injuries took the toll followed by a bad run. Basically our best player, who is the right midfielder got injured and things went down hill for a bit. However we recovered and kept at bay at the play offs and progressed comfortably. Keeping in mind the media predicted us to be the favourites to go down at the start of the season.

See our wage bill, lowest in the league.

The thing I enjoyed most about this tactic is how effectively it is defensively, as we enjoyed the second best defense in the league this time. This tactic offers the right balance between attack and defense. Only once through out the campaign I conceded more than two goals in a single game ( 4 nil to stoke, all of them set pieces). Regarding conceding on set pieces, I am not sure if anyone has made any tweak that can really solve this unless SI updates the game. However I might be able to solve this with better defenders with the extra money I get this time.

As it turns out we conceded the second most goals from corners.

A few users of the tactic been pointing about the lack of goals at some point in to the season and it's the same for me in to the latter part of the season. My teams best defender, Jack Baldwin was the second top scorer in the team with 12. Not complaining, I love this exploit though as long as it is in my favour, however the goals normally dried up this year(usually it comes from all across the team with everyone in the team getting some decent numbers). Again this could be due to the better opposition players in the league, and ours being considerably the same, coming in from last year.

As you can see our teams scored the most from corners.

Next up is the premier league. I was only able to win the league and UCL with hartlepool in the 9th season in FM13and hope to repeat the feat much earlier this time (despite being one league lower down the pyramid this time). Again, best tactic for me out here. Will keep you updated on the progress. :)

Do you guys think it is possible to switch wingers to more attacking positions? e.g. ML -> AML?

I think ,yes u can try changing the ml to aml . this is one of the best overall tactics that's available here .

Thanks. I'll do that with my Liverpool team. I think both Coutinho and Sterling will play better in more attacking positions.

Cheers guys for watching thread for me, not back propper till next week.

Moving the wingers up will pose a more attacking threat but may leave the full backs exposed, You might also see them playing with their backs To goal instead of running into space they have just now

After reading rave reviews with the thread having over 58 pages, I'll give it a run for my first ever FM14 save with Inter! Wish me luck!

I'm still tinkering who to play as a MR and ML in this formation. As of now I'm starting Florenzi and Gervinho. Bought Iturbe but maybe it's best to play him as a false 9.

Just finished my second season with Pompey and all I can say is WOW!!!!
Used it from about mid way through my first season and won the league after looking like I might just about scrape the play-offs. Second season, I've managed to win league 1 very comfortably and.......THE FA CUP! Beat Scumhampton in the final which makes it all that sweeter;)
So I'm goingto bein europe next season which is just crazy! thanks for the great tactic!
