My best tactic for FM14

please do, I'm finding this very frustrating just now, and have almost resorted back to the drawing board to make a new tactic completely lol
 
Broken in 14.2

Agree with the above posts, latest patch has completely ruined this tactic, which was one of my favourites.

F*cking hate SI sometimes, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

EDIT: I should mention that most of these games involved Attacking movement match preparation (at the request of my opposition scout).

I followed this topic since the release of 14.2 aswell, The suggestions made earlier by other people to add the shoot less for your 2 wingers, 2 CM and 1 DM gave me decent results. I also added run at defense option so i got less long shots .I win most matches but most of the time its a close call. Im playing with Rayo Vallecano in Spain so not with a top team and im sitting at the top of the table so it can still work with less good teams

With your final tactic i noticed you changed the DM to playmaker before the defense, added the shoot less option to all midfielders.
+ Retain posession
+ Work ball into the box.

I will gave your latest tactic a try when its completely fluid but do you mind sharing the ideas behind those changes? Really interested to hear it!

Well as you see I dont score too much goals and almost all matches i Win like 2-1 or 1-0 but well hope I can keep the results like this till the end of the season
 
Trying one more tweak by turning off slow play, especially in home matches i have the idea i can dominate more and win by bigger scores when i play with a higher tempo
 
Callamity that new tactic you've uploading is boss mate. Plugged it in mid season and won 11 and drawn 1 as Sheffield United in the Champ.

Hi mate, to go over your points here when using the tactic in the new patch it was evident that there were too many shots from distance, this comes from playing a deep defensive line, so in order to create more chances it is important to snub this out by adding in the work ball into box and the shoots less often to player instructions.

Retain possession is something I like, it means that the team will keep the ball untill a real opening is created, I feel this is better than attempting to fashion chances by needlessly giving away possession. This option is always a double edged sword as on one hand you keep the ball better creating less chances, and the other hand you play more risky and are more open to counter attacks, but may score more goals.

Finally the deep lying playmaker, I felt that the defensive midfielder wasnt doing enough for the team, the counter attacking play was quite limited, so using the creative nous of a DLP remedies this, whilst protecting the defense with defend duty he will also look to play important defense splitting balls. Thus creating more chances overall.

I noticed you also changed your central defenders instructions btw, You got too many through balls you put in a stopper?
