Hi, can i suggest that you do a league test which uses the same players for each team so we can get a more accurate result for each tactic?
Secondly, can we remove the cup playoff as the randomness in cup playoff are too random? And can we add in more AI teams too?
Lastly, during this years FM14.3.X, can we hold a finale competition for those highly recommended and best tested result tactic to have a so-called "Tactics World Cup"?
How do you think? By doing so, we are giving a fair condition for all tactic we are going to test ^^
About the 'all equal teams' issue, its actually been discussed few pages back and in the end of the OP (Post #1).
The same with the 'round of the champions', I will definetely pit all the winners together at one point.
As for the playoffs, I think it serves the intended purpose, that is to give all qualified teams an one-match-off to beat the favorites. Thats why we have seen 4th placed teams won the playoffs. TRUE, it may look 'random' because so many things can happen in one game at a neutral venue with extra-time and penalties shootout, many call it 'luck'. Atleast, we have the league and the cup to evaluate the more consistent tactics.
PLUS, dont forget, they do need to finish 4th in the league to qualify for the playoffs, so in some ways, they are 'qualified' playoff winners.
All in all, thanks for your review and suggestions.
Really appreciate your work a_ilfandy.
But for me personally, and im sure for many others too, it would VERY interesting to see you do a test for lower end teams. like the 3 teams expected to be relegated from the top leagues in England, Spain, Italy etc.
When you play as Madrid, Barca, Juve, Man City etc.... most thought out tactics (with good team talks etc..) will win you the leagues and perform well... But it takes a really special tactic to make small teams perform well.
What do you think? or would that be boring..
That is why, I'm re-formating the teams in this round. Check the latest results update (next post) for ROUND 5.
This time, I'm testing them on the Skrill teams. BUT, this is not an attempt to make it fully fair and equal.
I still want to give the tactics the advantage of being tested on a better team (based on media prediction).
But atleast it will level the playing field quite a bit. And you will see that some tactics struggling with this format.
Its more like small vs smaller teams. Instead of giant vs big teams in the previous rounds. Lets see how it goes..
