---------- Post added at 02:11 AM ---------- Previous post was yesterday at 07:50 PM ----------

my new tactics will be released tomorrow night, this time there's only 3 tactics instead of 6 and i'm just going with the 4-3-3 formation. You won't be disappointed, these new tactics blow my old ones out of the water

cheers joe, i'll be uploading my new tactics within the next hour or so

these tactics are ace. played 19 won 19 in the league only conceded 6 goals!

my only problem with it is ive always loved playing with 2 up front but berbatov up top with rooney on a wing still works!

cheers ste the don, i'm glad you like them, my new tatics have just been uploaded.
sorry for opening up a new thread, just wanted a new title for my tatics

---------- Post added at 05:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:51 PM ----------

just re-uped my tactics again with a little tweak

not being a **** but u seem to make a new thread each time you tweak your tactic :/

not bein a ****, but i wanted a different title thread, coz it's sort of the same title as hanc. is that alright with you

Hey richy so far your tactic is looking pretty good but my team has still major problems creating chances. I have just won 4:0 against Liverpool which is great but I only had 6 shots on goal. But Liverpool was only allowed two shots on goal which is actually awesome.

On another note which OI instructions do you use and what are your shouts? I used "Retain possession", "Pass into space" and "Stand off opponents" against Liverpool which worked pretty well.

Another thing is the pitch dimensions which size would you describe as narrow and which as short and wide? Somhow I thought the aspect ration off all pitch size are the same and there are smaller and large pitches? So a clarification on that matter with exact pitch dimensions would be nice.

Cheers.

Ok going to try those. Thanks. Btw a thing I noticed is that Berbatov actually works great as a Trequartista.

well i'm guessing your manchester united, so when playong at home use the long tactic, when your away, you should get a scouting report before the match, and he will tell you wheather the pitch is short, narrow or long. Yes i do use the shout instruction and they are, pass in space, get ball forward, pump ball into box. And if i'm really dominating i'll ask them to push forward, i hope that answered your questions

i'll give berbatov ago at bein a trequartista then, if all good, i'll put it on the thread, cheers for that mate

Btw I think the fact that I'm not scoring is more down to this pesci little game doesn't want me to. Against weak teams I play very offensive and creat a lot of chances now but still am not able to score. While opposition most of the time has only 1 or 2 chances to score and a defender or Foster makes a mistake. But that's something even a good tactic can't cure.

Lol just the second I wrote that Brown and Foster tried to prove my point and gave Burnley a well deserved goald for their 36% possession and 2 goal shots. Losing 0:1 to Burnley while having 10 shots on goal and and 64% possession is def not a tactic problem. ^^

when goin against weaker teams don't go on the attack straight away, when starting a match play standard to begin with, and i bet that helps you out. After 1 or 2 goals then go on to control mate

---------- Post added at 09:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:17 PM ----------

i just finished playing chelsea in the community shield, and i started with standard, 11 minutes gone and i was 2-0 up, then went to control. trust me mate, start off at standard

Well my problem at the moment is more of the kind you can't really influence through tactics. Stuff like players missing the goal from 2 yards away and defenders or goalie constantly messing up. I think it's stuff that can only be fixed through confidence and team talks. But I will try your suggestion and look how it works.

i'm having same problem with forwards, rooney went from 9.45 to 7.05 within 2 games. yeah your right though it's all down to teams talks, plus there morle

Hi Richy. So after some testing I your tactic really haven't clicked with my team. I was only 8th in PL and made only third spot in the Champions League qualification. Since I switched to the Ultimo Dominatio v2 4-3-3 formation from craig my team is back on a winning streak again. The problem is that especially against weaker teams who play very defensively one striker doesn't seam enough. I think your tactic can work great if you play a lot of teams that play offensively against you Chelsea, Arsenal and other teams of similar reputation to United for example. It provides a possession advantage and a lot of defensive stability but it isn't very good to break down weaker defensive minded teams.

In reality we can see that Manchester United is playing most of the weaker teams with a 4-4-2 where Berbatov plays alongside Rooney and they play a 4-5-1 against the top 5 or 6 teams of the season. So the only team that I know of who plays a 4-5-1 formation throughout an entire season effectively is actually Barcelona who can play this formation to perfection and arguably also play 2 strikers when Henry is playing who is much more a second striker then an AML like the formation would make us believe. Another fact is that they attack with the entire team against weaker teams so a the 4-5-1 formation is usually a 4-3-3 formation against weaker teams with a lot of roaming by the 3 strikers and a lot of offensive contribution by the midfielder and even the fullback namingly Dani Alves.

I think it would be vital to create two versions of this tactic. One that is balanced and possession minded like your formation and one that is way more attacking best played with 3 strikers and probaly 3 CMs contribution from the Fullbacks. So I'm going to sit down and try if I can modulate either your tactic to a really offensive version or Craigs tactic to a more possession orientated version.

I'll post the outcome here.

Edit: So far I noticed one thing. I have found a 4-5-1 tactic that can create a lot of chances but it's conversion rate is just plain awful and I think I know why that is happening. It's just down to the fact that strikers usually have way better finishing skills then wingers and midfielders do. But if a good 75% of your chances come from those players you usually will get problems in terms of converting chances as opposed to a formation where you can play 3 strikers all with very good finishing and composure ratings.

hiya bud, i totally agree with you, like you said united play the 451 against the big teams and 442 against the weaker teams. Like last weekend when they played portsmouth it was 442 with berbatov and rooney up front. i'll have a re-think with these tactics, see what i come up with. Might be a while before i post anything up.
At least you tried them out mate, which i'm thankful for. cheers

Hey Richy just gave your tactic another try with Barcelona and with a few tweaks it works really well so far. Two things I would suggest is setting the wide play of the wingers to "Move Into Channels" and make the Central Midfielder into a Advanced Playmaker. So far it works pretty well if you have the right players to play this formation.

ah cool ok, i was tempted to use the "move into channels" for the wingers, but wasn't sure what they did

---------- Post added at 11:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:43 PM ----------

shall i stick to the same tactic or do you reckon i should try the 442?
