Then you shouldn't argue with me. The regular player doesn't modify in the editor, and your opinion could mislead them. In one of my two saves he has injuru proneness 12 and consistency 11 and in the other one injury proneness 10 and consistency 10.

Of course I should argue with you when you say "he's inconsistent and injury prone". I've already shown that these statements are simply false. I'm not talking about modifying the editor at all, I'm talking about what the editor says about the player to start with. I don't see how stating facts can mislead people.

It's probably more the exception, than the rule. In all my three saves, he's been a beast. I don't know what his attributes are on my save, since I don't like using the editor, but the guy is crazy on my current save, averaging at 7.2 overall.. Only a couple of games at below 6.8.. But generally, at his price, it's one of those must-buys.

Sorry to side track a bit here, but does anyone else think that SI should make more players attributes randomised, especially hidden ones such as this which can vastly affect a players career?

For example, players that seem amazing but haven't proved themselves consistently irl (Such as Will Hughes). That way for some people he would end up world class, for others they would spend the same amount on him only for him to flop, rather than knowing your getting a quality player every time you buy him.

If we stick to Will Hughes as an example, I feel he's already proven himself to be fairly consistent on a Championship level. However, that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be consistent on a higher level. In that case the consistency attribute alone becomes inadequate, and would necessitate either a new attribute or restrict the consistency attribute to the level he's proven himself on.

Ok, it took me some time to verify what is happen. I started 10 new games, every time before a new start I closed the game. I loaded big database in different countries (England, Germany, Spain, Italy). I noted few attributes as follow:
save 1 injury 12 consistency 10 pressure 12
save 2 injury 10 consistency 10 pressure 9
save 3 injury 14 consistency 10 pressure 10
save 4 injury 5 consistency 10 pressure 11
save 5 injury 14 consistency 10 pressure 9
save 6 injury 3 consistency 10 pressure 10
save 7 injury 9 consistency 10 pressure 12
save 8 injury 4 consistency 10 pressure 10
save 9 injury 16 consistency 10 pressure 9
save 10 injury 12 consistency 10 pressure 11

As everybody can see the injury proneness varies a lot with an average of 10. However, the consistency shows no variation at all. Pressure varies a bit and the potential was between 176 and 190. I saw some variation in Adaptability too, but for me is not important. So I can conclude that Balanta has mediocre consistency (probably his consistency can be improved by other factors) and injury proneness is a gamble.

I don't think is a good idea to randomize attributes for some players.

Well, as already stated, his consistency is still 0 and his injury proneness is still 0. Same goes for adaptability, ambition, controversy, loyalty, pressure, professionalism, sportsmanship and temperament. They're all 0, so they'll all be randomized. Therefore it's impossible to claim he has bad consistency and is injury prone as a default. It's as simple as that.

And the fact is that Claud is the first person I have heard who has had anything other than exceptional performances consistently from Balanta. Even if there were more, the vast majority of people find him extremely consistent

Interested to hear why?

The stats on the editor are all between 1-20 (bar PA/CA). If a stat on the editor is 0 it means that it is random and will be generated when a new game is started. You would expect most of the time that the stats you list would be in the middle circa 7-14.

That isn't true, they all have a 1 in 20 chance of being a certain number.

All I meant was you would expect most of the time for the stat to be a mid figure as per the pressure stat.

Even with a truly random number generation you rarely see true level distribution.

I signed Doria first season, he does amazing, strong solid defender for how young he is and gets a few goals too. Can only get better!
