I am starting my first ever story thread and due to being a lifelong, loyal Newcastle fan, I will be playing with them. I hope you enjoy. I will be updating after every month or so and any advice would be greatly appreciated, cheers. You can check out my progress at any time on my signature as well.

I enjoyed a good pre-season with Newcastle, winning every game and conceding just one goal. Here are my results. Due to Newcastle having no transfer budget and a very small wage budget, I was forced to bring players in on loan. I was delighted with my transfers:

Thanks. I will be updating soon. :)

good results just make sure you don't lose your best loan stars!

Has the club had a takeover becouse last year and this year, Mike Ashley has sold up and a middle eastern businessman has assumed control of the club.

No takeover yet. Last time I got taken over, it was by some cheapskate.

yes same with Wigan athletic in my very first game way back in Football manager 2008

Good luck mate, hopefully you can be in Europe in 3-4 seasons :) Bit of advice, if you haven't already done it, loan out Nile Ranger, he is becoming pretty good on one of my saves 2 season's in

Just been taken over and given £5,000,000. (H)

I definitely need a new striker. Carroll's form has gone out of the window though Ameobi is starting to hit the net now. I also need backup for Central defence. Any suggestions welcome.

If you need a striker I recommend Zavon Hines on loan, it may sound silly, but he hit the back of the net 32 times in the league for my Q.P.R team :) Centre back - Try Mike Williamson from Pompey

Thanks a lot Kinger. I will give them a go. Updates soon.
