Anybody remember in Old CM00/01 where you could mark the goalie.. I did it with Palermo with arsenal and he scored 72 goals in the league

I loved Sensible World of Soccer immense game
yeah simple but loads a fun! you could play or watch the matches in manager mode, loved the way u could curl the ball with ya joystick lol fast paced aswell, its where my footy manager bug all started :D

God, I remember Microprose Soccer aswell. Wish I kept my Commodore 64 now. Getting all teary eyed with nostalgia

I definately remember playing Football Manager on the good ol' Commodore 64 in 1991. Ah the joys, of loading up a game on cassette.....to have it crash just before the game starts :@. Makes the problems of the current FM game crashes seem insignificant compared to cassette games lol
bet it still loading now lmao

bet it still loading now lmao

pmsl @ the match highlights XD

the original Football Manager!!!

and still the best... :D

I forgot how easy it was to buy a player, nothing like nowadays LOL!

was extremely easy, but was still great!!

i loved the stadium part of it, building new ones and adding to it etc, i wish there was a more detailed aspect of that on FM tbf.

Stadium building was amazing. I remember I built a 90,000 seat stadium up in Newcastle. And the man that took me to that success? Lionel Messi. You could sign him for 8 million or so at the start, I did, and he took me to 3 consecutive Champs Leagues. This is LMA 07 btw. Hopefully I'm gonna get it again soon, **** disc broke from over-playing XD

started with Sensible soccer on Megadrive (to this day i still call them Tuny Edams and Raan Goggs lol)

which led to management games on megedrive
Premier manager and premier manager 97

Which led to Premier Manager 3 Deluxe on PC

From there i sampled the delights of Champ Manager 97/98
hooked ever since (staying true to SI when the split happened)

ts

I started my Footy management game addiction with the Kevin Toms original Football manager for the Spectrum in the mid 80s. Also Kenny Dalglish soccer manager and Emlyn Hughes international soccer.

When i moved on to the Amiga it was Premier manager and Championship manager off course, along with Kick off and Sensible Soccer.

LMA manager was the ONE!! i loved that game! i brought every single one of them...

although my first management experience was... PREMIER MANAGER 98

what an absolutely EPIC game that was!!!

the music was also awesome lol
YouTube - Premier manager 98 Music

from LMA manager getting so easy in the later years of its existence this is when i turned to Champ or CM as many of you may call it...

i feel like digging out PM 98 now and playing it ^^)

This game was just amazing at the time!!!

Blues were so **** on it! Those were the days of Paul Furlong and Peter Ndlouv!
Gary Ablett, Simon Charlton, Kevin Poole, Michael Johnson, Martin Grainger, Chris Holland, Chris Marsden!!!!!!!!

Does anybody remember a Football Management sim called Giant Killers?
They had a domestic version and a Euro 2000 version.

this was the last ever champ manager i ever bought, unsure which direction to go after the split i bought both FM05 and CM5 - didn't take a genius to work out which was the far superior game

And i always gave players "the house and car option" that was class lol
