March and April Update
I am leaving at the end of the season, chairman has no vision for Panionios and because of this I have lost the drive to achieve what I think this club should be achieving every year. I will remain as the manager here until the end of the season and then I will resign and look for my next club.

A New Start
After quite a while of being unemployed and having rejected many clubs that I didn't feel had the dreams that I did, I made yet another life changing decision, I was going to leave Greece and move again, to where though? Well that was answered when a Romanian club came calling, and that club was FC Vaslui, a side who play in the top flight in Romania and have the finacial power to compete for the league title each season. The chairman offered me a 4 year £4,000 p/w contract and a transfer budget of £2,500,000. I asked the board to upgrade the youth facilities and they agreed, this convinced me that the chairman shared my vision and was prepared to pay to achive it. I have bought a new apartment which is a bit more lavish then my one in Panionios. My new car that I have got is a white Range Rover Sport, I have to say that I feel like my Nissan in Panionios drove a bit better, but I'm not complaining as the Range Rover carrys a better badge. Anyways the squad at FC Vaslui is a better one than I had at Panionios and I don't see much need for change, however when the time arrives I will onvest accordingly.

Summary of Month
A good start to life in Romania, 3 wins from 3 matches and through to the next round of the cup. Some good performances and I am pleased with what I saw. I still think the squad can be improved if we are to really push for the league table. There will be no player of the month as I havent had enough games to decide the winner.

December Update
A fantastic start for me at my new club FC Vaslui, winning all 3 matches that I took charge of in November. I have a translator at the moment but hope to be fluent in Romanian with in a few months as I am taking lessons. It seems like the new manager of FC Vaslui is in demand as I have 3 dates with girls I met while out with the backroom staff at a bar in the local town. I'm just starting to settle in to my new home and the Romanian life style which I must say is a little different to the Greek and English way of living. Freddy however is having no issues settling in as he has quickly got back into his usual routine of walk in the morning and evening and sleep all day ! Looking forward to January and the transfer window, I will be dipping into the market as I feel the squad is lacking the killer touch in certain areas of the side and alot of the players are very unhappy so I think a clean slate is needed. The clear out will start in January but will really start in the summer when I will mold my team for next season to really make a push for the league title. The current set of lads will do for now and will hopefully along with some of my ideas take FC Vaslui to a respectable league finish this season.

Player of the Month
Zsolt Torok, although we conceaded 4 goals in December he looked in good touch and gave 100% for the team. He is also very young and I don't think he can be blamed for making the odd mistake. Good work this month lad and keep it up.

Summary of Month
Not a good month in terms of point and results but the effort the lads gave can't be knocked and its only a matter of time before we really get going and crush all those who come before us. A few sloppy mistakes and dodgy decisions from the referee led to this bad month, I guess we were just unlucky, but we move on and focus on when the league starts again after a long break for winter.

January Update
The transfer window is here and my first opportunity to stamp my mark on this team, however with that being said I'm not going to spend sill money as the clubs fiancial long term future is the most important thing. The board are on the same page as me, we both see this club at the top of Romanian football, they have told me that the imediate future is what they are bothered about and what ever happens in the future happens. This is great to hear from my point of view but I will still be careful and try and get value for money. I don't want to change to much as I feel team chemistry is very important and if I were to have a complete change of personel mid way through the season it could either go very well or very badly, I am not prepared to take that risk and will have a clear out in the summer should I think it is neccesary then. My private life has been a bit on the quiet side as I have been very busy with my new job, I am however going to have a go at driving super cars around a track and I have also booked tickets to go to an a theme park and ride a brand new roller coaster. I am going to go with a girl I have met Jess to the theme park. Jess is a model from America, she is working here for Romanian Vogue, at the moment we are not serious but who knows what will happen. I am happy not being tied down in a relationship and we are just enjoying each others company. Freddys started going to a doggy play days, basically he goes and plays with other dogs and they do activites like assualt courses and swimming. He is really benifiting from it as his weight is just dropping off. I have arranged some friendlys as I don't want the players to lose match fitness, I will also be trying out new tactics and looking at the new guys in action. Hopefully we will get some good results but if we don't then it isn't the end of the world as the performances is what I am looking for.

A good month overall, I am delighted we got the win away to Cruzeiro as the lads worked really hard and deserved the win. I don't think we played badly against Marseille or Lazio its just that they are better teams with world class players. I am confident ahead of next month where we have more friendlys and some important league fixtures.

February Update
All in all I am pleased with how life is progressing here at FC Vaslui, I am delighted for the lads that we managed to get that win over Cruzeiro. They worked really hard last month and with the new signings I feel like we are making progress towards the end goal of becoming a force in Romanian, however I want to stress that this isn't going to happen over night and it will take time. Things are fantastic in my personal life away from the club, Jess and I are now officialy dating and at the moment its great. We have been out to some fancy resturants and been for long walks in the local parks with Freddy. I want to do things right with her and not rush as I really like her and feel as though we have a future together. I have been asked to appear on a local chat show, its the Romanian version of Loose Women. I personally don't watch it but I'm told by my advisors that its watched by millions of people and could be a good way of promoting myself and FC Vaslui. Looking forward to February and the games that I have arranged, I am looking for at least 2 wins and some solid performances. The league also gets underway this month and I am hoping for a strong start as we have 3 home games in a row and this could be a great way of building up some momentum for the rest of the season and hopefully pushing for Europe.

Summary of Month
A strong month for us, we played some weaker sides than ourselves but put them away with little fuss. However we have a big month coming up in March and even though we have has a good month, the work isn't done yet. There are many teams that are all competing with us for the same position and anyone can still get the European spot, on the flip side we are not safe from the relegation battle. A saying that comes to mind that I think fits the situation is, " A good chess player always thinks 4 moves ahead, a great chess player thinks 1 move ahead, that 1 move is always the right move though. " So what will it be? will WE / I be a good or a great team? I have the answer but do you?

March Update
Well after such a fantastic month in February how can I not be pleased with life at FC Vaslui, we played some brilliant attacking free flowing football and we did in front of our home fans. I have been getting loads of messages from the fans on a forum saying how they believe that with me in charge FC Vaslui can really go places and how they felt that they got their moneys worth and more last month. This is great to hear but it just adds to the pressure that I am already under, good news is though that I thrive under pressure and I back myself to deliever what these fans crave so badly, the league title. Me and Jess are in a really go place at the moment and I honestly think that we will be together for a long time. We went to watch the new Twilight film the other day and I'm happy to report that all though I thought I wouldn't enjoy it and I was only watching it becasue she wanted too, I thought the film was excellent. I have decided to re-do my apartment as I feel like it could do with a face lift to brighten the place up a little. I am going for a minimal look on the new furniture as having looked through all the glossy magazines that seems to be the look thats in at the moment. March is a busy month for us and I feel it is an important one that will decide where we finish in the league, if we do well then we may finish in a European position but if we don't do well then we may be dragged back into the relegation battle. 2 massive matches against CFR Cluj and Steaua, in my opinion the two biggest clubs in Romanian and if we can get a win over them then it will just give the players and the fans more belief that we can be a great club in the future.

Summary of Month
A mixed month for us with some brilliant and some terrible performances. I have learnt alot about the team today and how they can pick themselves up for matches against the strong teams but can't motivate themselves to do the same against the weaker teams ( with the exception of February ). FC Brasiv seem to be some what of a boggie team for us and we just can't seem to beat them, however we will have to if we are to progress in the Romanian Cup as that could be our only route into Europe.
Player of the Month
Gerlem, he scored and created goals this month, a top couple of games all round for him. He will be very important in our push for Europe and if he can keep his form up then maybe just maybe we can qualify for Europe through one route or another.

April Update
Life is good here in Romanian, the team are trainning well and putting what we are doing in trainning into the matches and its showing as we are getting some good results. I have already done some business ahead of the summer window but I'm not saying who we have bought as I will let it be a surprise. All I will say is I have heard great things about him and many of europes elite have been fighting for his signature. The re-developments in my apartment went smoothly and I am pleased with the end product, the place just feels so much brighter and modern. I have got tickets to go and watch Jason Derulo in concert and will be going with Jess as she is a big fan, I have to admit I am too although it does get annoying when he keeps asking Whatcha Say when talking to him ! I have been in talks with the board over the new youth trainning ground and they have informed me that all finances are in place and work will begin in the summer but they will confirm the official costs and what exactly will be done nearer the time. The next two months will be crucial for us as I think we have to get something out of every match if we are to have a realistic chance of europe next season. I will be pushing the lads even harder and will be taking even more time preparing for every game as I think that could be what makes the difference, it really is all hands to the deck at the moment.

Summary of Month
A good month that saw us take plenty of points from the matches, it is however extremely frustrating how we lose games and only draw games we should we win because we lose concentration. Going out of the Romanian Cup was perhaps the most dissapointing thing during the month as on the day I think we were the better team but no matter what we did we just couldn't score that 1 goal that would have won us the match and taken the game to extra time. At the moment even if a player is tired I can't make a sub to give him a rest if he is a key player as the lad who replaces him just isn't good enough and will cost us the points that we so desperatly need. I will adress this in the summer and I am already looking forward to watching the lad I have already got in action as I think hes just proof of what we are trying to achive here at FC Vaslui. Overall after taking everything into consideration I am happy with how we are performing and I am confident that we will push for a european spot until the final day of the season.

He scored 2 goals and created 2 goals, I can't ask much more for him than that and it is pleasing that we can score goals from all over the pitch and we are not relying on one player. Good work lad and keep it up.

May Update
Its squeakey *** time as Sir Alex Ferguson says ! The last month of the season and what a month it promises to be, some massive games for us and if we are to appear victorius in the end then we need to take something from every game. I think if we can get ourselves into a position where if we can beat U Craiova in our second from last match then we have a chance of europe. My personal life just isn't happening at the moment, I get up at 7:00 am and I' m at the training ground by 8:00 am. Then I leave at 8:00 pm. As soon as I get home I've been shattered, so its been dinner then bed and then do it all again the next day. I just want to get everything perfect and leave nothing to chance so come game day we are ready for everything. I won't rest until the summer break, until then its 24/7 football and FC Vaslui. I haven't even thought about my summer holiday or any plans for the summer, so what I will be doing I do not know, I'm sure Jess will have some ideas. Preparation is everything at the moment and I just hope I have got it right, if not then it will just another season here at FC Vaslui and another faliure.

Summary of Month
A good month for us, we went unbeaten and put some strong performances in. On the whole I am pleased, but I think we would have won the matches we drew if we didn't have the suspensions and injurys. I guess we just ran out of steam and it was just 1 game to far for a tired squad who have had to perform out of their skins everytime they walk out onto that pitch. I don't think I got much wrong in the preparation for the games, I think I could have changed the tactics a little bit when things weren't going well to force the goal. I am not going to lose any sleep over this and worry about it, I will just move on and think about the next game as I can't change it now, whats done is done. I will now think about my summer holiday and our summer transfer plans.

Njegos Golocevac, two months in a row for him now and theres a good reason for it, he's just in superb form, he can't do wrong at the moment. They say form is temporay, class is perminent. On the form of the last two months you have have to say he is class and should he keep it up I will be reciving lots of phone calls from other clubs about him. He will be a vital part of our team going forward and with the summer transfer targets I am sure he can lead our midfield and team to achive our targets.

End Of Season Summary
Having taken over as manager of FC Vaslui in mid November, we have climbed the league and gone from a club that was fighting relegation to within 2 games of Europe. In the end we ran out stream and the loss of players due to suspensions and injurys really did for us and the last 2 matches were just one step too far for a team that has been flat out since Febrauary. Over the season we have seen some awful and some amazing performances from FC Vaslui and the players have grown more and more confident as the season has gone on. They are encouraged to express themselves while playing and enjoy themselves and I think that they have started to do this and will continue to do so in the new season. My backroom staff have been brilliant all season and have developed the players into better ones and have made the new traning schedules easy for the players to settle into and have made them work. I have to thank the board for their continued support both financially and morally as we can't achive are targets of becoming a force in Romanian football without them. In the new season I think we will go from strength to strength and will be there or there about come the end of the season. Will we win the league? I don't know, there are many strong teams in the league and they have players who have been there and done it all before. Will we qualify for europe? I think we will, it will be hard and there are many challenges ahead if we are to qualify for europe but I believe we have the set up to over come these challenges and qualify. Gerlem finished the season as the leagues top goal scorer beating many quality players to this prize. I am not surprised he has finished top goalscorer as he is on the score chart week in week out and has sustained his fantastic form throughout the season. Looking forward to the off season and I am happy to say that we have already signed some new players and I am able to name them to you. Silviu Lung Jr, has signed for £3.8 Million and Gabriel has signed for FC Vaslui for £3.2 Million. So there you have it, two quality players that have performed brilliantly for their clubs over the season and I believe they will do the same for us and help us become a stronger team. Expect many more signings over the summer, there will also be some players who will leave the club to make way for the new lads but I am confident of keeping the core of the squad. The board have confirmed that the youth traning facilities are to be upgraded and the process will only take a short time to complete, all the works will cost £475K. By upgrading the tranining facilities the board are showing that they have the ambition to take this club to new hights. I look forward to pre season and we will anounce our pre season friendly matches in the near future.
