This is my first story, so if you are going to critisize me, try and at least give me a few pointers, ok?

Also, I will update whenever possible, due to me having another save, and not always being at the house FM is at (My Mum and Dad live seperately, and I can only play FM at my Mum's)

I will be going for Monthly Updates.

Let's take down the Divers and the Galacticos!

As I woke up on that fateful morning of 13th June 2011, I realised that this was the biggest day of my career. This is the day I took over at Athletic Club, known to most as Athletico Bilbao, and to their loyal fans as Los Leones.

Now, you may be wondering why me, an Englishman who has only just recently left University at the age of 25 would be getting an interview to be the manager of such a big European team.

Well, it all started when me and a few mates from my Uni went on holiday to, you guessed it, Spain. We had just being on a wild night out in Bilbao on the 6th June, when we bumped in to a smart looking man, in an expensive suit.

He looked at us, realised we were English, and in his broken English, asked us: "Do we like Football?"

Me and my mates all looked at each other, and all said: "Yes".

He then continued: "Do you like Bilbao?"

I replied with: "You mean Athletico Bilbao? Los Leones?"

"Yes!" he shouted in delight.

"Yes, we do!" I said.

"Well, if you didn't know, I am the Chairman, and I am looking for a new manager, since the last one resigned."

"Kieran would be a great manager!" shouted one of my friends, before falling over drunk. (I am called Kieran btw)

"You do seem to know a lot about Bilbao for an Englishman..." he looked to be pondering something.

Realising what he was thinking, I said: "Well, I am a huge fan of Football all around the World, and my dad was an Athletico Bilbao fan too, and he has taught me Spanish and a bit about them."

"You must be joking!" He replied.

"No, i'm not, honestly!"

"Well, I guess, I have no idea why I am doing this, but would you like an interview to be the manager?" He said.

I was shocked beyond belief, and couldn't speak. I managed to spit out a "Yes".

"Well, next week, Monday 13th June, you had better get your **** down to San Mames then, you've got an interview. Have fun on the rest of your night, and make sure to turn up sober and in a nice suit." He added helpfully.

"Yes, I will" I managed to reply.

He then walked off, and all of my friends and me were absolutely exstatic. We continued partying the night away.

The next morning, I had to check if it was true, and in my inbox on my email account, there lay an email inviting me for a job interview at Athletico Bilbao.

I quickly called my Mum, and told her I wasn't going to be back for a bit longer than planned, and I made sure to extend my stay at the hotel for long enough.

That week dragged on and on and on, and I was sweating like a leaf, revising on Football knowledge and my Spanish.

Finally June 13th arrived, and I headed into the ground in my freshly ironed suit, sober as the day I was born.

I was then escorted to the Chairmans office, where he told me to take a seat.

"I'm terribly nervous" I said, my hands sweating.

He tried to reassure me. "No need, anyway, I'm Jose Urrutia"

He offered to shake my hand, and I gladly shook, happy for him to be so calm and relaxed with me. It helped calm me down.

"So, what do you think you can bring to this great club?" He asked me expectantly.

"Well" I said, " I believe that this team is very capable of challenging much higher than it has being in recent years, and I have a dream that one day we could even peak above the Giants of Barcelona and Real Madrid."

"Do you?" He asked, expectantly. "Well, what about our current squad?"

"I have a few ideas for who to bring in, and I believe that we have a good spine to the team, with Fernando Lorente and Javi Martinez, and this team is young, and will grow."

"Well, I guess..." He said.

He seemed to pause for a while, and I was getting very nervous, not sure what to expect.

"You've got the job!"

For a minute, I forgot my proffesionallism, and I just started jumping up in the air, cheering, smiling like an idot.

"Now, we are going to give you a 12,500 a week job for 2 years, is that ok?"

"Yes! Where do i sign?"

We signed the contract, but before I left to my new office, he gave me a bit of advice.

"Don't worry about the medias claim you're too inexperienced for the job, I have faith in you."

With that in mind, I headed off to my office, and made a few calls so I could stay in Spain for a **** of a lot longer.

I had got it! With no experience, and limited knowledge of the language, I could speak it but I would need lessons, I had being given the job at Athletico Bilbao! I was over the moon!

I wouldnt bother lol - lasted nearly 30 seasons although you will see my best ever regen who came through the first seasons intake and was still going strong when I accidentally deleted the save at the age of 38!!!!

Looking at the Finances, and the Players.

Soon after I started the job, I was given a message to go and meet the chairman urgently.

Reaching his office, I said: "Hello, how can I help?"

"Well, we need to know your ideas for how well we can do. We are spending £328,181 on wages, and are willing to give you £2.6 million and £4250k a week for a mid table finish."

"what about for a top half of the table finish?" I asked.

"We could give you £3.3 million and £525k a week, is that what you want?" He asked.

"Yes, i'm sure."

"Do you feel you can cope with the extra pressure?"

"I hope so" I said, half jokingly.

Well, we've confirmed it.

I was happy with what i'd got, as I was expected to be 9th, which is top half right? I also felt we could do better, but I wasn't putting too much pressure on myself.

(I will try and upload a screenshot of it soon, but it won't let me at the moment)

Checking my finances, I realised the club was £20 million in the positive direction due to season tickets and advertising, so I was happy that I feel i may be able to negotiate more money if needed.

Now I decided that I had to have a look at the players. I went off to my first training session, and I gathered everyone round.

"Now..." I started.

As I was starting, Iker Munain and Javi Martinez were having a bit of a laugh.

"Whats funny?" I asked.

Iker then said: "We were wondering how long you would be here. He said 6 months, I reckon you'll be lucky to get 3."

"If you carry on like that, you'll be lucky to be here for 3 more days" I said.

Most of the squad started laughing, and Iker looked very embarrased at what had happened. He later came up to me and said sorry and good luck, and all was forgiven.

So, my first training session had ended, and I decided to look through the squad books. I realised I had far too many feeder clubs, so i cut a few out.

You deleted a save after 30 seasons? Huge ouch :(

Sadly guys, I cannot post screenshots for some reason, so I will do the best without pictures, and describe everything as best I can, so if you want to ask me about any players stats or anything, just ask :)

Also, i'll try and get an update in tonight, and ****! It's Athletic Bilbao, not Athletico :/ oh well, i'll just continue with Athletic.

sorry for no updates recently, i Haven't had much chance to play FM so I will try and update tommorow
