Lionel Messi - Arguably the greatest footballer ever. He has the record of 5 Ballon D'or wins (so far) and doesn't look like slowing down any time soon....

The year is 2025 and Messi has continued his rain at the top collecting more awards as he goes! (total number to be confirmed later)

Once Messi retired there had been many pretenders to the mantle of "best player" but today we see 4 would be contenders who will battle it out to become the next greatest!

These men are:
David Kerry - (Godfish93)
Bob Pocalyps (Average Joe)
Lewie Roberts - (Lewie100)
Nate McN
aterr - (Naterr)

Player profiles to follow!

I wanted to do a BAP but with a smaller number of people to really focus on their careers. I hope other members will get involved too and declare a favourite etc.

Each year we will decide who has had the most sucsesful season, either through stats or general achievements, and this player will get a stat boost (this could be nice or nasty)

If we have certain members who are following this I will let them choose the boosts each year, also they can help with the twists that will happen to our hopefuls!

There is also a super footballing machine bred to win the title...can they beat him?

David Kerry

Our first young contender is David Kerry. Kerry is an attack minded midfielder from Iceland who can play a deeper role and also the lone striker role. He moved from Iceland to Cardiff at a young age where he trained through their youth system. He left Cardiff earlier this year on a free transfer and moved to Gillingham in League 2.

His new coaches have praised his extremely high work rate and have commented that he is always the first one out and the last one back in. He has great finishing (which he studied under Craig Bellamy at Cardiff) his range of passing and pace should be enough to cause defences problems.

He is a Liverpool and Leicester City fan, who hopes to get back into the Premier league one day!

Lewie Roberts

Our second hopeful is the talented Lewie Roberts. Roberts favours a striker role but has been touted as a very decent winger - a role he may lean towards in future. He was born and bred in Wales where he joined Swansea city as a youngster. Roberts left Swansea after a fight with the management and went to apply his skills with Wrexham of league 2.

The coaching staff at Wrexham are very excited with their new man, his finishing has really impressed his new employers who have all commented that "he could score in a nunnery" He is a very able dribbler of the ball and can whip in a dangerous cross! His speed has also mentioned as a big factor as to why they purchased him.

Roberts is a Liverpool and Dortmund fan, has dreams to play at the top level of English football and is hoping to win a trophy this year!

Bob Pocalyps

View attachment 141679

3rd person up is Bob "The Apocalypse" Pocalyps. Bob is a Right back by trade who loves getting forward whenever he can. Another Welsh man (part Croatian too) who also joined Swansea at a young age and trained with Roberts for most of his youth. He left mainly due to Roberts leaving and joined Port Vale for a small fee.

Port Vale management have said they wanted him from the moment they saw him. He has always been a right back who is much better at going forward that defending. His coaches seem to want to push him forward and into the winger role, will he stick to defence or wander forward? His speed is the main high area of his game, his crossing is great too and some mental stats (anticipation and off the ball) are very tasty looking.

He is a Milan and Inter fan, also wants to get into the premier league and has high hopes for his team in League 2

Nate McNaterr

View attachment 141678

Our 4th man is Nate McNaterr. McNaterr is a hard hitting defensive player. He is big and slow but like the pack a punch! Born in Scotland, he was at many clubs until he was signed up by Cardiff City where he honed his skills. After a fight about a deep fried Mars bar and the nutritional values it possesses. He joined Rochdale and has high hopes.

The staff at Rochdale were very impressed when he signed, stating that his high work rate was a big reason they took him on! His defensive work is a joy to behold with his heading, tackling and marking all on point! He is not the cleverest, or the most stable but that can change!

McNaterr supports Dortmund and Bordeaux, and has ambitions to win the premier league.

Will love following this. Best of luck to all 4 competitors. :)

Goal and an assist for The Apocalypse in his league 2 debut!

What the world looks like in 2025

Not much has changed really, Barcelona are the most reputable club, Tottenham and Arsenal fans still hate each other and England has been ranked #1 for the last 4 year....OK so that last one might have changed.

The interesting ones here will be Valencia up there in 3rd, and Cardiff in 5th.

Cardiff flying high in the finances, worth a whopping 2bn, and also Arsenal so low down, not the norm for them!

Wrexham, not bad...

WHY ARE CARDIFF THERE AT THE TOP? :(

Season 1 - Part 1 - January 2026

Kerry:

Our Icelandic man has started well, he has made 20 first team appearances for Gillingham scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. He is mainly being deployed as a MC but on the odd occasion will be played upfront.

In the u18/21s he has played 22 games, getting 4 assists and 8 goals!

In the national set up he has earned 8 u21 call ups and scoring 3 goals.

He has broken Gillingham's youngest goal scorer record and been named in the team of the week once.

Gillingham are currently 2nd in the league

McNaterr:

McNaterr hasn't had the best of starts at Rochdale, He has played 16 games so far but his average rating hasn't been brilliant (6.9) but he has got himself two assists. He is mainly being used as a DM but has played in 4 positions so far - proving his versatility.

In the U18/21s he has played much better, 28 games, 3 goals and 1 assist.

He hasn't made any progress with the National side as of yet.

Rochdale sit in 19th.

Pocalyps:

Pocalyps has spent his time mainly in the youth ranks - 31 games played so far with 6 goals and 5 assists between the two teams.

For Port Vale's first team he has played 13 times with 2 goals and 2 assists. Most of his games have been at RB where he hasn't had much effect, move him to AMR and he was much more effective! (7.5 rating out of 3 games)

On the National front Pocalyps has quickly switched his allegiance, opting to go with his second nationality Croatia and playing in the U21s 6 times!

He has also made the team of the week once.

Port Vale are up in 7th

Roberts:

Our last remaining Welsh man has probably had the best start to footballing life - 24 games in Wrxham's first team, scoring 11 goals with 3 assists. He has almost always been played as a striker with 2 games on the wing.

He has still had his fair share of youth games racking up 19 games with 6 goals.

Roberts hasn't made a dent in any of the national games yet but plenty of time to do that!

Wrexham are 5th

January Transfer Window 2026

Pocalyps signs new contract with Port Vale (£550 per week)

This pleases me....I put our reputation low so that we won't move to top clubs too quickly, looks like it paid worked!

McNaterr becomes Rochdale youngest ever goalscorer

Not too much happened in this window, the main thing is that no one has moved yet! I'm hoping they stay at the lower teams for a bit before moving.

David Kerry has had a good first season at Gillingham. 42 first team appearances, 7 goals and 10 assists, receiving 2 POM's. He is nearly always used as a CM (3 times as a ST) He has signed his first professional contract earning £325 a week. His team value him at £58k and so far has 7 u21 national caps with 3 goals.

Kerry is the only one of our players not to have teams chasing his signature.

McNaterr's first season comes to an end, he made 38 first team matches, getting 1 goal and 2 assists and winning 6 POM's. He has been used as a CB for more than 75% of his matches, other positions include LB, DM and CM. His first contract gets him £300 a week and Rochdale value him at £60k. He was recently called up to get his first U21 cap.

McNaterr currently has 9 clubs who are contemplating making an offer for the defender.

End of Season Tables

Our first season in League 2 and Robert's Wrexham get promoted up one league. All teams finished way above their season expectation (all were bottom half)

Cardiff show their dominance with their new manager to take the title but just one point in it.

View attachment 140618
Barcelona also retain the title, and Real Madrid finish outside the top 3!

View attachment 140617
Inter get their first title in years, and completely dominated this year!

View attachment 140616
Dortmund take first position in Germany by just 2 point ahead of Bayern

English teams dominate Europe with Chelsea and Man City getting the Champions league and Europa league respectfully (if that is the right word??? I'm very tired and looks strange...)

Edit - I was meant to post this after the 4 player profiles, not in the middle...my bad!
