Owen to Man United?

owen strongly linked to man united according to sky

i really hope this doesn't happen

i think hes past his prime and its embarrassing that he could move

i think its a good move... he can fill the void of tevez and hes free it still allows united to spend 64m or so (minus valencia) to spend on a solid player next season.

im not sure about this signing, on one hand if he found his form when he played for liverpool and when he played against the argies for england, then ill be happy to get that striker for a free. but if he carrys on playing the way he plays then i dont know. but u never know with fergie, he might do it just to **** off liverpool lol!!!

I reckon Fergie must want Owen to train some of his Gee Gee's.

it wouldnt be that bad if he came for free, cause he's out of contract. but i really hope united dont pay a penny for him, he's very brittle and very injury prone^^)

can fergie find what owen has lost in the last 3-4 seasons errrrrrrrrrm i think so

plus if he is a free transfer thats good i would take him experiance is the key every manager know that

if he can stay fit and score it will be a good signing i think with his ability to play it COULD work out well and that is IF yes IF fergie can find what Owen has lost

thinking about it now i reckon getting owen in on a free would be like when we got larson in on loan a few years ago, he can teach the younger strikers about finishing, and is also a good player that you could bring off the bench if you need a goal. and like u said martin, IF fergie can find what owen has lost

i think larson is a better suited player for united thats why he was a great deal for us

too injury prone for me and i think we can do a lot better than micheal owen

i not saying anything different about larson, i know he was a better player for us than owen, all im saying is its that fergie mite use him as something simular to wot larson was used for, just a bit long thats all

hmmmm im still not sure that owen is the man for the job

i mean if he was thinking about teaching youngsters with him then he's wrong

i mean we have berbatov and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who manages the youth anyways

Owen linked to shock Man Utd move

Manchester United refuse to be drawn on growing speculation that they are in talks with striker Michael Owen.

Owen to the Job centre.. That sounds more like what the title should be. Although if Man United are stupid enough to pay his ridiculous wages then go ahead ;)

I reckon Fergie wants him because he isn't going to spend a penny of that 80M from Ronaldo. Greedy git wants it for his retirement fund!

retirement fund lol if fergie spent 500m (obviously he cant) this window he would still get a retirement fund what you talking about m8

I have heard on sky sports new that he is likely to sign in next few days

If It Happens I Wont Like Owen Anymore As A Liverpool Fan I Like Owen Very Much But If He Dose Go To Man Utd I Will Hate Him So Much :@

i must admit i laughed for a good while when i 1st heard this! Benzema... Ribery... Villa?? NO MICHAEL OWEN! lol

but then i thought logically- IF owen can stay reasonably fit then he would be an inspired signing by Taggart! the sheer amount of chances that United create would mean that owen could be just the player that United need to, yet again ( :( ), **** the league!
United have been crying out for an out-and-out finisher since RVN left, and with Ronaldo gone, owen could legitimately fill the goals lost in that transfer.
Although... with both Ronaldo and Tevez gone, the amount of chances could decrease somewhat... as, personally, i dont really think that Valencia is gonna be the world-beater all the fans are hoping- he's looks like Nani... plays a bit like him too if u get me...!
