So.. i'm new at this: I bought the game so i have the boxed version, but installed with the steam code, will my game update itself or do i have to download the patch?

here we go again , they changed the ME , we`ll have to start all over again in tweaking tactics for this update , and in 1 month time 11.2 will be out , then again all over .... it`s gonna be fun

i x'ed out of fm then loaded it up again and it updated for me :S

Ive done that half a dozen times now and nothing, even restarted my system.

jp and leeds, check your game status, it wont show on the database thing as there is no date change

Seriously? Ive done that. First time ive had problems with a Steam update.

i did it just now through steam w/o any problems. I just shut down steam and restarted it again in online mode and the download began.

lol, er really not sure then, the only other thing is are you downloading something else at the same time? i noticed my steam is a lot slower to load up fm when im downloading

SInce the patch the game crashes when starting a new game. halfway through setting up game database. Ive uninstalled- reinstalled. no editor data. wtf/!?!?!?
