It was the team from the northeast which dominated this game and Veteran Midfielder John Oster opened the scoring with a free kick which he then Ran Straight to his manager to celebrate with after 11 minutes - But It was the second half which really saw Gateshead move up through the gears with 3 second half goals with Rob Ramshaw scoring his 11th of the campaign with a Frank Lampard Esque late run. On Loan from West Ham Striker Sean Maguire then scored from a header from a corner to make it 4-0 when he scored from a header from a corner to make it 4-0 and seal the win for the side from the north east.
"What a Magic day for the lads and this tournament has the ability to deliver some fairy tales and I hope this year we can be part of the great history of this cup" - Paul Gascoigne said after the match.

"What a fantastic month for us , We maybe did not win all the games but to play 5 tough games in a month and not lose any of them against teams challenging for promotion , That's a great achievement in itself but unbeaten in 13 games stretching to the start of September and scoring a goal in every one of these games - Well it's just class to be honest"

Wood who was promoting the" support your local team" weekend had encouraged all Newcastle,Sunderland and Middlesbrough fans to unite this weekend and come help push the Football scene in the North East by helping Gateshead get to where they need to be.

JANUARY UPDATE
"We have had another strong month, but we just can't seem to get ahead of Bristol Rovers, When they drop points we seem to drop points as well - it's frustrating but I know our time will come and we will have to make the most of it, only one disappointing defeat at south port in the league but baring that i am happy with the performances"
