Looks good any idea how much you will have to pay to sign him?
Just found him now when I took over Sampdoria, so as of right this second I don't, but I will find out. With Sampdoria's pretty dire financial status, I reckon quite cheap :)

He's not got very good technical attributes, but he looks pretty decent!
Disagree mate, for 18 he's got bags of room for improvement, all round awesome. No weaknesses if you ask me.

Yeah, but Essien is maybe the best for the position, and Agyei (Fiorentina) has better technical attributes, and is the same age.

I scouted him with dortmund a while back, with a suggested price of £10m. I can barely afford to buy his boots!

You can 'Approach to sign' at the start mate, 1.8 mil compensation i think

He signed a new contract on 29/7/10 and I scouted him after this, and I start without transfer budgets in first window for added realism so I wouldn't have been able to sign him anyway. Never mind, cheers for the info though

next essien??? no chance he looks ****. id rate 19 year old tom cairney of hull better and probably cheaper

You haven't a clue then mate. For an 18 year old they are a brilliant bunch of all rounded stats. I agree he needs to improve on the technical side, but that is granted.

He's got 3 stars worth of ability to improve which should see his stats go through the roof with the right training.

the most important part of a players game is his technical ability, they are all at 10 except for 1 that is on 11. iv seen 15 year old regens with better stats. i do know what im talking about mate, i live on the game

Okay you've started me off...

Firstly technical are not the most important stats on the game at all. You can have 20 for finishing, dribbling and first touch, but if you don't have decent physical and mental stats it means nothing. Personally I think physical are the most important, as a player with pace and strength will guranteed cause more trouble than a player with no pace or strength and decent technical stats. I would like to load up a game on FM10 where I created a 18 year old who was very quick and had great composure, positioning, work rate etc, but pretty **** technical stats. Finishing was about 13 yet, he scored 30 goals every season. Unfortunately I have uninstalled FM10, so no screenshot. But you are most definitely wrong.

Furthermore techincal are the easiest stats to improve, therefore starting off with a base of 10 for every technical stat, and very good physical and mental stats, gives him the best possible chance of becoming World Class.

EDIT: I've just found it, sorry if anyone finds this offensive was merely a pisstake.

Look at that goal ratio.

actually, all thing being equal, the mental stats are the most important as they underpin the usage of all other attributes, and for an 18 year old he has great mental stats, except decision making, which hopefully will inprove its a fairly large flaw/drawback at the very top level

Yes as a youngster I agree Mike, but I was saying how physical stats will dominate more games than technical. IMO of course.

Anyway back on topic, you are wrong cutzy he has every chance of being awesome.

a forward with finishing 12 or 13 will score goals if he is composed and fast. that is obvious, that player you put up is very similar to frazier campbell, plus you was playing in a poor league. if he was technically good he would score twice as many goals. it is simple. if you wana say this kid is the next essien, pm me when he is and show me the screen shot of his stats and average rating over a full season in the premier league. he may be a decent player but he is no world beater and will never be as good as essien. i havnt meant to cause offence to you, i was intreagued and excited when i saw the thread " pedro the next essien" but was dissapointed as technically you need to be very good to play defensive midfield like essien
