Once the game you have started has begun, the PA of every player is set in stone, you will find that younger players have -8 or -9 on there ability, that will set the PA in a certain range.
the best way to find good players without focusing on there PA, is to jot down certain attributes in say an poacher, put them into a search filter, and set the minimum stat to 13, and what position you want i have found some gems using that way who will fulfill a position.

some are -9 or -whatever. also others have the actual maximum potential set to like c/a 120 p/a 145. so you havnt answered my question that p/a can change, seriously you havnt shown me a screenshot how to use a filter to suit a position. wow lol
thank you gink. thats exactly what i said, but no apparently it can change and someone else says its the potential ability in the editor is a rubbish guide, love to play you lot in a net game, see who knows what there talking about
The problem I see with this guy is that low decisions is not a good attribute for an MC that has to pick his spots getting forward. Its a crucial attribute in any box-to-box type midfielder. Seems like at the higher levels he would require either "always" or "never" on Run From Deep unless that improves.

i pretty much answered your question over PA change after i said '@ Cutsy' in my previous post, once the game starts its set in stone, players like lampard will have a set PA because its obvious what type of class he is, players like Sanogo will have -9 for e. g. because the developers know that he is a hot prospect but they dont know whether he will be amazing in a few seasons or become another sherman cardenas.
i showed you the filter because you are to obsessed with PA,
actually start a new game, and dont look at PA and CA, pretend your a manager, use your scouts and look at a player your interested, use your knowledge of management simulation games to actually make a decision on when to sign him? do you think when fergie get shown a player by his chief scout he goes 'what's his CA/PA? if its not at least 190, hes not getting signed up :/'

I suggest reading the above to everyone, you need to know about certain things before commenting!

Pedro has potential, it is evident if you understand the CA/PA correctly, his good athleticism is in his favour at such a young age as alot of the PA points (will get used up for Physical training, that is if you actually have him on strength and aerobic training, which we all do) will be used up for this (Physical stats use up the most PA points, because they cannot be taught i.e Mental and alot of players pick up technical stats as well while being tutored)
this means that his PA will not decrease or get used up to cater for his poor athleticism, it will be used more for his Technical attributes and with the correct tutoring (mental) he would be a great player....

thank you for that thread. everything backed up what i said, also i learnt one thing which i was not aware of. The CA can improve by correct guidance and correct amount of games until the maximum figure, which is PA, at the correct time. If you use players who are under 19 too much then he is going to reach his PA too fast and therefore, it causes "burn out." Usually CA will drop when the player gets older or at some moment after he reaches his PA.
thanks that will come in useful, i do usually gradually introduce youngsters into the first team either off the bench or in the early rounds of the cup. but had never been aware of burn out

When I'm looking for a young DM, I only concentrate on a few things - Natural fitness, Stamina, Pace, Determination, Positioning, Teamwork, Work Rate and the player's height. This player have them all, so he's quite promising IMO. With good tutoring, I believe he can be a world beater.

I went for Daniel Kofi Agyei and he's an absolute beast, gone straight into my 1st team (as a deep lying playmaker) and is bossing the midfield on a regular basis. Strongly advise anyone to buy him. Only paid 2m for him as well. 1m up front and 1m after 10 international apps. My best buy by a country mile. 4 assist's in the first 5 games as well.

Well Agyei has 'could be the next Essien' on his stats page. The thread of the title is Pedro - 'the next Essien'. And I've given my insight on a player who IMO could be the next essien. I haven't bought this 'pedro' so was giving my oppinnion on a guy who plays in a similar role/s. I was WAY out of line, obviously...
