What tactics do you play? Has anyone got the TT+F document for this fella???

Trying out the default Diamond formations. Thought these would work better on small pitch, with a quick short passing game.

I've looked in other sites (couldn't find a thread here) and seems to be debate as to which is best passing style for which sized pitch.

it depends how your team plays

if your going to play through the middle you should make the pitch the biggest size because the middle of the pitch is tight players would struggle to find space.

if you play wide with wingers then have a small pitch.

and if you are a lower league club you should make your pitch the smallest because they are **** and have low stamina and get tired very easy.

i reckon its the opposite...just because if your playing with wingers with a narrow pitch they gunna find it hard to find space therefore not gunna get into decent situations...

They won't have as much space and direct balls down the channels will be less effective. But that doesn't mean you need a wide pitch.

It really depends on what your style of play is and how good your team is relative to the others in your division.

A narrow pitch will force more play down the middle, making it easier to defend if you have a good central midfield and central defence. But that doesn't mean opposition wingers will necessarily struggle because the narrower you pull the defence the more room there is on the wings.

So you have to judge how your team specifically plays (not only width, but passing and whether they are an attacking team or a counter attacking team or a controlling team) to how big the pitch is if you want to gain that extra couple of percent points in performance.

It can pay dividends but don't fret if it seems to complex. A good and balanced set of tactics won't be too badly compromised no matter the size of the pitch. And by now, I hope, most of us will be tinkering in match to counteract the computer changing tactics anyways, so it's no hardship to make adjustments for pitch size while sorting out how best to beat the opposition.
