Pre Season 2014

Despite massive upheavel at Leicester this summer Chris Tonkin has been in some fine form for the first team friendlies and is part of the first team squad rather than the Under 18's at the moment.

Tonkin should get plenty more game time this season with so many players leaving but there was interested from Premier League Club Blackburn but thankfully no other was made.

September - December 2014

Tonkin is touted by manager Lee Clarke as key to success for the new season.

Tonkin has had an impressive season playing in a whopping 45 games already this season and banging in a decent 34 goals.
28 first team appearances so far this season have really established Tonkin in the first team scoring 15 goals to boot! 10 reserve games have seen Tonkin score 10 goals and 7 Under 18's matches have seen him bang in 8 more goals!
Tonkin's goalscoring potential has really come into its own this season and he will be looking to go into 20plus first team goals this season.

Lets hope after last seasons bad injury last season that Tonkin can end the season well.
Leicester are currently 7th in the Npower League 1 but really need to bounce straight back up before Tonkin leaves for pastures new​
 
Great start to the season, knew he would dominate the lower leagues
 
January - May 2015

Tonkin ended the season playing an incredible 75 games in all competitions scoring 53 goals and 16 assist, being in the lower leagues has really helped Tonkin find his goalscoring boots.
Tonkin most impressively played 48 first team games and scored 26 goals an incredible average of a goal every other game he also managed to score 13 reserve goals in 13 reserve games along with 14 goals in 14 under 18's games.

It will be interesting to see if Tonkin moves on or not but with the world at his feet anything is possible!

Tonkin now has 92 league appearances over the past 3 seasons and has scored 40 goals, made 12 assists and been MoM 8 times.

September - December 2015

Tonkin has yet again been having a busy few months, now that he is a mainstay in the first team i dont quite understand why they make him play youth and reserve games as his status is always in need of rest at the moment.

He has played a staggering 48 games already this season scoring 29 goals and making 16 goals.
He has played 25 first team games with an amazing return of 17 goals he has 5 goals for the reserves in 8 games and 4 goals in 9 games for the under 18's.
He has played 3 more times for Scotland under 21's scoring just the one goal but with this recent form for Leicester surely a Scotland call up is on the cards soon or he still has chance to play for Wales.

January - May 2016

Tonkin had an injury hit end to the season picking up 5 week injuries before and after March.
Tonkin ended the season playing in a total 63 matches for various teams and scored 44 goals with 19 assists and 16 man of the matches.
He made 38 first team appearances scoring 24 goals he also had 10 goals in 12 reserve games and 10 goals in 13 under 18's matches.

You can see that Leicester really missed Tonkin's goals when he picked up his injuries with him scoring in every game in March while not on the treatment table.

I hope he gets some game time is all! I would have preferred he stayed at Leicester if they dont play him in the first team and i dont want him to lose his scotland spot just after getting it
