It's an interesting theory about Porto/Sporting, but aren't Sporting trying to challenge the title? Or do they just assume that they won't win it and that they might as well give it to Porto? What is the 'official story' BTW?
Won't go as far as to claim a conspiracy (in the current setup, past days... well, let's just leave it at that :P). Sporting's board is probably one of the worst they've had in their history (oddly enough, also their first paid president), the setup of football directors is also quite terrible and they've made some very bad investments imo (Pongolle being the worst), while also allienating the lockerroom and being unable to motivate/integrate players.
The Porto theory comes from the fact that Costinha, ex-Porto player, is now the Director of Football - a position he sucks at.
As for challenging for the title, they haven't done so in a few seasons, and don't really look capable of doing so in the near future without severe changes.

(Quick disclaimer before I get flamed to death: as much as I hate your guts rivalry-wise, I do think it's important that Benfica's rivals stay sharp, and I quite dislike the general situation that Sporting's crossing. Sadly, I think I'm more passionate about getting Bettencourt and Costinha the **** out of there than some Sporting fans.)

Now thats a lie.
ever since the beginning until 2008/09 Sporting fought for the title, and won on several ocasions. In fact, there was that fun game at Porto in 2008 with the indirect free kick in the area which was laughable. Sporting finished 4 points behind Porto.

Please dont lie. It makes baby Jesus cry.

Don't be bitter, the team that you support is ****, face it :)

This from a guy who supports the club whose board members should all be in jail?

Jail ? give me proof then ! nothing was proved .. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! you are just a bitter LAGARTO, because Sporting doesn't win anything, that is proof !

Nothing was proved in a trial conducted by a judge owned by the defendant. Shocking.
******* mobsters.

Both Peixinho and Halbard have their share of reason.
I don't think most Porto supporters doubt their corrupt board, they just don't ******' care.

I have to ask you to calm down. Both teams are pretty good, otherwise they wouldn't be in the big 3 and wouldn't cause these arguments. Sporting is passing through one of the worst times ever, and Porto is with the best team they have had in the last few years.

Those scandals aren't good to the portuguese football, and are past now. The truth in the legal decision on that is relative to whoever is analysing it.

I respect your clubism but keep your fights in your profiles plz (A)

True, forgot 08-09. And baby Jesus is a baby, he needs to cry. Rest of the points still stand :P

**** off you mong. Don't comment on the thread with that ****!

Porto SHOULD win the league this year, hopefully Benfica will come second at the bare minimum and we get a good cup run, but we're missing Di Maria and Ramires.
No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not like u!

*Sigh
Yeah, the Premier League rules, England rules, the Rest of the World is sh**. Go back to your millions, to your club with no history. As a Chelsea fan, you should really thank the Portuguese football. I'd like to know where Chelsea would be without Mourinho (and Abrahmovic). And if you don't like Ramires, Bosingwa or Ferreira or didn't like Carvalho, Deco and many others, be my guest and return them.

C***

EDIT: And this sucking league gave birth to many careers you might know: C. Ronaldo, Nani and Eusebio, for example, and was a starting point for Di Maria, Anderson, and many others that I won't even waste my time numbering. You're not worth it
Ha!
FAIL!

EUSEBIO IS FROM ANGOLA! :D

P.S. Don't make me name all famous English players...

Stop spamming the thread please !

iluxon4ik, what a stupid ****** you are. Grow a brain. Chelsea would be nothing in the past years without the portuguese players/and players who made were on the league before going there and other people it had on its structure. Just to name a few: Ricardo Carvalho, Mourinho, Deco, Paulo Ferreira, Ramires.

As for the league, lol, it has been the starting and development point of many great players: Eusébio (don't come with that Mozambique ****, he only improved as a player in Benfica), Luis Figo, Simao Sabrosa, Quaresma, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Futre, Ricardo Carvalho, Di Maria, Anderson, Ramires, Lucho Gonzalez, Lisandro Lopez, Pepe, Bosingwa, Paulo Ferreira, Nuno Valente, Bruno Alves, Costinha, Maniche, Fabio Coentrao, Hugo Almeida, Raul Meireles, Bosingwa (out of shape atm, but he's really awesome, pwned everything at Porto), Deco, Hulk (chosen by Barcelona fans as the player they most would like to see there next), João Moutinho, Miguel Veloso, and I think this is enough

You're just a stupid ****** with no intelligence. (proof of this is that you will come and answer me with that gay comment im not you, im not in your account, bla bla bla)

About the Liga ZON Sagres.

Porto wins this year, followed by Benfica. The third place will either belong to Sporting or to Braga.

Porto is the best team atm in the Portuguese League, Benfica started badly, they're improving but I don't see them winning again. As for Sporting, well, they are the weakest of the big 3, and Braga is a team that can't be ignored, as they've shown last year.

Porto's coach imo, will be the next big portuguese coach after José Mourinho. He has learned from Bobby Robson and from José Mourinho, has only lost one match so far the whole year (due to the ******* stupid goalkeeper who should defend an easy shot but he didn't), the team plays good, although they miss a lot of chances, they could get more goals.

About André Villas-Boas, anyway, he worked with Bobby Robson when he was here (quite a nice story btw, he was still a kid, like 15-16, he was Bobby Robson's neighbour and they discussed football and he got a invite to be part of the club's structure). After Bobby Robson's departure of the club, he stayed here, and his job at the club was improved when Mourinho came back to train the club (they already knew eachother). André-Villas Boas went with Mourinho to Chelsea and then to Inter. He left Inter at the beggining of the last season to coach his own team. He went to Académica, the worst team on the league, and made them play pretty nice football, putting them from the last place to mid-table.

I'm a Porto fan, I hope the news about André Villas-Boas leaving to Liverpool in the end of the season aren't true.
