The game crashing after a week of pre-season without saving when you had beaten West Ham 2 - 0, Basingstoke 4 - 0 and were beating Southampton 4 - 0. Also meaning you have to enter all the squad numbers again, and have lost one signing. :@

have you patched your game? crash dumps were a problem unitl the patch rectified the memory leak:

I already have the patch as I use Steam so it downloaded automatically before it even let me play the game when I got it at Christmas.
 
New funny (annoying) remark is that some players just decide to hate me. Each match, my assistant tells me that they find it hard to motivate themselves becase of personal issue with me. However, when I check each of them, they are all happy and have my name in their favourite list. Better contract, no effect. More credit, no change. If they weren't star players in my team, they should have found their place at the bottom of the nearest lake.
 
The classic frustration: building a world class squad with mid-table premier league team just to learn all your stars are craving for transfer.

Just finished my second season with Fulham and even ending up 6th in premier league and winning the FA cup won't seem to help me keep players like Hangeland, Otamendi, Di Maria, Steven Defour, Dodo or Cardozo :(
 
Being 3rd in the table with Newcastle in the 3rd season with a relatively small squad, then getting 8 people out for between 4weeks - 5 months.

SHORT stories! Since I started my 'Emulating Alex Ferguson' story I noticed 2 'emulating bobby robson' and 1 'emulating steve bruce' start and finish on virtually the same day! I feel partly responsible for the clutter on the stories thread lol

Ever noticed that, when your team is guaranteed promotion to the top flight, they get complacent? My team was at the top all the way to last game. We were only up by one point, because I put myself on holiday when I was about 13 points ahead [thank you assistant manager...] we get to our match against Celta, who we beat 3-2 earlier in the season, yet we still got beat because of our complacency.

In short, complacency = frustrating failure.
 
when im guaranteed to go up with game sto spare, i start playing youngsters who are more hungry to impress and stake a claim for first team action. sometimes you get spanked, but often they pull some surprising results out the bag.

Having two goals ruled out for offside and hitting the post twice all in the same 0-0 draw. That is frustrating. Especially in a tough promotion battle.
 
Guaranteed promotion makes complacent. Your players achieved all and more than was asked of them. Plus, likely the teams you play towards the end of the season still have something to prove, or fight for promotion/against relegation themselves, so there's more at stake for them.
Would be nice to finish off on a high, but at that point I don't mind stupid defeats so much anymore.

I do the same. But more than likely, my youngsters already put in some classy performances so I resort to get some kick-*** performances out of my dead-wood players to artificially increase their value before I sell them off.


Here's one that just grinds my gears:
There's quite a few players out there that turn out really well. Potential stars, decent youngsters, all playing for small clubs and can be picked up rather cheap.
If you leave them alone, they play for their club for years to come and develop and all is well.
But THE VERY SECOND I place a bid, not even with transfer story leaked, there's tons of way more famous clubs after the same player, so off course they choose them over me.

Had that happen sooooo many times.
 
Well.. look at Crouch's position.

I know he can play DC but it's just 'COMPETENT'.... and it's striker roll that earned him a goal and an assist, plus MoM.
Then why he got his name there? seems like a bug to me.
 
I've a slight problem, can anyone help? England is without a manager, I've applied and the English FA offered me the job, but no matter how many times I click on Accept Job, they are still without a manager.

What patch are you on, on the first patch, unfortunately, you cannot accept national jobs, its a pain I know.
 
Blackburn Rovers are frustrating, but thats what makes this game so flaming realistic! :D
