Post Your Successes

Am in my 2nd season with Utd. In 1st season won everything possible Premier League, Carling Cup, FA Cup, Community Shield and Champions League. Lost only 2 games in the premier league last season and finished the season with 83 points I think.

This season I've already won the Carling Cup, the Super Cup (against Shakthar) and the Club World Championship. Lost to Liverpool in Community Shield though on penalties. I'm 1st in the Premier League this season. Last season scored the most goals (84) and conceded the fewest (14) in the premier league. Have scored 40 something goals this season but have conceded a few aswell.

This season though I found a serious tactic in which I started dominating games. It started after I just about managed to pull off a draw against Stoke. Nani scored from an amazing free kick in added time to get a 1-1 draw. Next match was against Shakthar ( H ) in the group stage of the Champions League and if we won we were guaranteed to go through. Decided to change the formation and just go for it. We won 8-0!!!

Next game was against Man City ( A ) in the Premier League. Used pretty much the same team and same formation. Won 4-0!!!. Next match was against Bolton ( A ) EPL. Changed the team a bit but used the same formation. Won 7-2 in a thriller!!!

Am still undefeated this season and am currently in Jan. Made a bit of a mistake though VDS said he was going to retire at end of season so I signed Ochoa but he isn't supposed to come until next season. I decided to offer VDS a Gk coaching job for the next 4 years. He accepted but I forgot that u had to wait until he had finished his last contract or else he will go straight to that one. So now I have to make due with Kus and Lindegaard and I don't think I can even register Lindegaard in premier league at this stage and sent Amos out on loan to West Ham so don't have any cover for Kus :(

WHUTTT?! how is this possible :')

Took charge of Southampton, got them to championship first season, second season playoffs and lost in the final to Swansea 5-2 THEN got an offer from liverpool.

Well, so far I have AFC Telford in League 1, and we just qualified for the FA Cup Final 3 days after winning the Johnstone Paint Trophy, by beating Chelsea 4-2 in the semis. Yes, they may have been red carded early in the game, but still. Their reserve team beat us (full strength) 3-0 THIS preseason, so beating the real thing when it counts is huge.
 
Managing Liverpool & Ghana.
Liverpool
First season I got rid of alot of the dead wood (Poulsen, Kyriakos, Ngog, etc). I did really well in the cup competitions by getting to the final of the Europa League, FA Cup & League Cup. However I only managed to win the Europa Cup (2-0 vs Man City) as I got beat in the other two (FA Cup 3-1 Tottenham, League Cup 1-0 Arsenal). I also managed to finish 4th in the league which I was quite happy with given the quality of the squad.

At the end of the first season i signed a 5 year contract which i was delighted with.

I have just finished the second season and once again I have finished in 4th place. This annoyed me slightly as I could have finished 2nd with a win on the last day of the season away to Wolves but I drew 0-0. I did win the League Cup (2-0 vs West Ham) and European Super Cup (1-0 vs Arsenal) which i was pleased with and should secure my job for another season or so. I got knocked out of the quarter finals of the FA Cup vs Man City in a game I should have won. I lost 1-0 with Adam Johnson scoring in the last minute after a bit of bad defending from Glen Johnson. I also got knowcked out of the Champions League in the quarter finals vs AC Milan in another game I should have won. I beat them 2-1 at the San Siro but they scored a pen after 16 mins and another pen in the 96th minute (only 4 minutes of injury time were shown). I was delighted to see them beaten 4-0 at home and 3-0 away vs Leverkusen in the semi's:)

Here is my team at the moment:

GK: Reina/Jones (Reina is absolutely amazing and he finished 2nd in the goal keeper of the year awards. Jones has played maybe 5 times in my 2 seasons at the club and has done well but he wants to leave so planning on bringing in a younger sub keeper)
RB: Johnson/Kelly (Johnson has been my first choice through my time at Liverpool but towards the end of the season his performances have dropped. Kelly has played well when he has come in so it may be the time to give him a shot in the starting 11)
LB: Marcano/Wilson (I bought Marcano from a team in Spain that I cant remember for around 5mil and he is a steady left back who can also play at centre back. I bought him as defensive cover but he has been a mainstay in the team since his arrival. Wilson has dissapointed me playing both left back & centre back so has spent large portions of the 2 seasons on the bench. I am looking to give him a shot at the first team when the opporunity comes up)
RCB: Skrtel/Carragher (Skrtel is my superstar defender who reguarly gets a rating of above 7.5 & he has chipped in with a few important goals. Carragher is a back up who comes in when I am depleted through injury or suspension and he is also my defending coach as well as the Under18's manager)
LCB: Kengane/Agger (I signed Kengane from an Italin team for around 15mil in the last transfer window and he has cemented his place alongside Skrtel in the starting 11. Agger plays OK when called upon but does make quite a few costly mistakes)
CM [Automatic]: Merieles/Adam/Lucas (Merieles bangs in some quality goals and in the 2nd season he got the goal of the year award but he does miss alot of chances. He probably grabs 12-15 goals a season which is good. Adam was bought for 8mil and he plays well and chips in with a few free kicks but he isnt quite starting 11 standard yet. Adam will probably take over the Gerrard role when he starts to decrease. Lucas plays well when he gets the opportunity but doesnt set the world alight and i may look to sell him as Kengane is an accomplished DCM)
CM [Attacking CM]: Gerrard/Jovetic/Shelvey (Gerrard is captain fantastic and will remain part of the team for another couple of years yet but will probably be used more sparingly next season. Jovetic was bought for 25mil and has failed to impress only scoring a couple of goals & the fans were not very happy when he signed. He has been given ample opportunity but just hasnt performed, will probably give him another season or 2 to allow him to settle. Shelvey has been in the first team but available for the reserves throughout the 2 seasons. I have wanted to play him but I have always preferred to play the other for match fitness etc. I did want to send him out on loan but he wouldnt go)
LW [Attacking Winger]: Neymar/Muniain (Neymar was signed for 18mil and plays well most of the time however he does need to be more consistent. He only joined at the start of the 2nd season but has performed well. Muniain was a big transfer as he was so highly reccomended by all of my scouts so I paid 9mil up front and 15mil after 30 appearances. He has played well but I am willing to give him a lot of time as he has shown signs of the player he is capable of being.
RW [Attacking Winger]: Turan/Cole (Turan was signed for 13mil and has been an important player for me especially in the first season when i needed a winger. He is my first choice winger but he is quite injury prone. Cole either plays brilliantly or rubbish. Consistency needs to be addressed but i will give him one more season unless i can offload him for a decent amount)
RST [Target Man]: Carroll/Lukaku (Carroll started well in the first season but has since suffered a serious injury and has seen his form drop. He is another who either scores a hattrick or doesnt score for 10 games so i will give him another season and look at selling him if things dont improve. Lukaku will as of next season be my first choice for the target man role due to a fantastic season. He has played brilliantly since his 17mil move and he has grabbed 27 goals in all comps this season)
LST [Advanced Forward]: Suarez/Kuyt (Suarez is probably my best striker but he has also suffered a major injury during my time at the club. He plays well most of the time and scores important goals for me. Kuyt has been labelled as a striker here but i very rarely play him as i am more likely to play Neymar, Muniain or Lukaku if they are not already starting. Kuyt has done a job for me in the past but i think he is the one player i will be looking to offload in the summer)

Ghana
I have recently taken over Ghana at the start of the World Cup qualifying groups. I have played 2 games and won them both (2-0 vs Central Africa & 5-0 vs Congo). I am looking at staying at Ghana for a few years as they have a few good current players and i have also spotted a few young players who have alot of potential.

Just a little update to my last post (#529)
I had to step down as Ghana manager after 5 undefeated games (all wins) due to the fact that Fabio Capello retired and England approached me to take over which i gladly accepted. I have played 5 games with England, 4 competitive (won them all) and 1 friendly (drew with Belgium).

Since the last post I have made several changes to my team.
Dani Alves was brought in after a fight with Pep Guardiola and managed to sign him for 6mil. I wanted to sell Glen Johnson as he hadnt been performing and I already had Martin Kelly as cover but I couldnt get the money I was after so I loaned him to Man City for the season whilst receiving 4mil for the pleasure. Martin Kelly is getting games as Alves isnt 100% all the time so I am finding a good balance in the right back spot.
Joe Cole wasnt very happy with the loaning of Johnson so I sold him to West Ham as he was only a bit part player anyway and I didnt want him affecting the morale of the squad.
Dirk Kuyt also left me to play for Genoa as he wasnt getting enough games to warrant his wages and i had plenty of cover in his positions.
I have promoted Suso, Raheem Sterling & a striker called Aranzabal (not sure of the spelling) from the reserves to the first team. To bring them on and fill in the gaps left by the departures of Kuyt & Cole.

On another note, Stevan Jovetic has been extremely poor for me this season. He has played around 6 games and in all he gets 5 ratings. Has anybody else had issues with this guy and if so do you know how to get him playing?

As far as form goes i have played around 10 games in the league of my third season and I have won 8 (losing 2, away to Man City and at home to Birmingham). I'm sitting in 3rd place behind the 2 teams i have lost against but i am within touching distance.
I have also unfortunatley been knocked out of the league cup by Nottingham Forest on pens. I wasnt as dissapointed as I thought as I seem to be doing better in the league this season and that is my major priority.
 
waiting for new patch and decided to start a villa save over a season.
ive done loads of seasons on fms but was well happy with this season finished 3rd in prem losing 3 games won Carling cup and euro cup beating man utd home and away also a 4-4 at the bridge also created a new tactic around Ashley young what may work with other teams? (work in progress)
