The 1960 Title winning side Burnley

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Blacklaw -
Blacklaw missed only three games in five seasons and won three caps for Scotland. He played 383 games for the Clarets.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_Elder -
A solid tackling left-back with good passing skills and the ability to run at defenders, Elder made 330 appearances for the club.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Robson - Robson played 202 times for Burnley, scoring 79 goals. He, Connelly and Ray Pointer scored 79 of the team's 100 goals in League and cup competitions in the title-winning season.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Cummings - Cummings signed for Burnley in 1947 and became a fixture at the heart of the defence for the next 15 years. One of the quickest defenders in the country , he was appointed club captain in 1951. He made 479 apps for the club.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Miller_(footballer) - Burnley-born Miller's strong tackling was a fine asset during the championship- winning season, when he was ever-present in the team. He played in 455 games in 12 years and won one cap for England before a knee injury finished his career in 1967.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Angus_(footballer) -the unflappable defender was a regular, making 520 appearances in 16 years. He won one cap for England.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Connelly - He found the net 20 times during the title winning campaign. His skill and pace on the right wing attracted Man Utd who signed him in 1964. He won 20 caps for England.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_McIlroy - The greatest player ever to play for Burnley.
He was a skilful inside-right whose fine touch and great passing ability was acquired as a schoolboy when he learnt to control a tennis ball. He played in 497 games in 13 years for the Clarets, scoring 117 goals. He won 60 caps for Northern Ireland, scoring 10 goals.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Adamson - Adamson became a familiar sight at righthalf with his ability to read the game. In 1962 the Clarets captain was voted FootbaIler of the Year after nearly leading Burnley to the League and FA Cup double.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ray_Pointer - He joined the club in 1957 and scored in both his games for England, and scored 23 League and cup goals in the title season. He was the spearhead of the attack, scoring 118 goals in 223 apps.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Pilkington - He won one cap for England, but it was at Turf Moor that he made his name. A short, stocky and fast winger, Pilkington joined Burnley in 1951, making 300 apps and scoring 67 goals.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevor_Meredith - The striker who scored the winner to secure the League title, Meredith played in 38 games during a five-year spell at Turf Moor.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Potts - He was the Burnley manager from 1958-1970.

Bob Lord was the Chairman.

Sorry if this is too much info.

Ive done a huge Legends data base for 2010

Adding more players and teams since just putting that dATA from FM2010 into FM2011

there been times where just browsed the net players even from the turn of the 1890s

To Cardo79 and azza1990 thank you for your posts, most welcome. Does anybody know why we cant like posts anymore or where the old likes have gone.

SheffieldBornin glad to see another oldie on the site (note to Triv, He's actually older than me) Had a VM telling me I was to old to be playing FM by some jumped up **** calling themselves The *****(or something like that).

Are you going to upload your Db this time round and how many players have you got to edit in, theres no harm in having 2 or more legends Db's for people to choose from plus it teaches the youngsters about real Football Players and not just the ****** that play today.

My dad's from Stockport and I watched them a lot in the 90's and early 00's when they went on a couple of decent Cup runs and made it as high as the Championship, famously beating City. :)

Manager: Either Danny Bergera or Dave Jones

I know him, don't worry. Well I know of him. Jack Rowley as well from pre-Busby.

I can't believe I left Dennis Law out of my list. Oh the shame.

If I were to suggest some African players that played in the African Leagues in the 60s and 70s would they be free agents or is that not possible? Because every time I go to Ghana i hear stories of guys that were apparently amazing and some of these players are even on the net. There are a lot I know that are Ghanaian so...

Suggest away if the clubs they played for no longer exist or are,nt in game then I can add as free agents but you will have to load ghana players to activate them

add links or any info you can on players if you would like them in a seperate db visit request thread and list them there.

PS this doesnt mean I will do every **** and harrys team in a Db separately its just this is a bit unusual / different.:)
