I've been having some success playing a 4-3-3 with two inside forwards, positioned on the tactics screen as far wide and as far forward as possible, i.e. as wide as an AM R or AM L but as far forward as a striker.
I'm a bit confused as to whether I should be playing strikers in that position, or wingers. On the tactics screen, if I place a player who is naturally a ST in there, he shows up as bright green. If I place a natural AM R in there, he's red, so according to that I should play natural strikers in there.
However, when you look at a player's stats after playing them in there, the "games played in position" count suggest the player has been playing as "attacking midfielder right/left", not "striker".
Also, if I look at my assistant's team report and suggested team sheet, where it shows the number of stars against a player, for the inside forwards, their star rating is based on how good they are as AM R/L, not ST.
So, should I play strikers or wingers in there, or doesn't it matter?
