I'm halfway through the second season, still unbeaten and 1st in the league (Ajax is very close but I'm not afraid of'em anymore after winning 1-2 @ Amsterdam). I was unlucky in the group draw for UCL (Real Madrid, Anderlecht and the ****** Manchester City once again ******* me off!!!) but managed to get 3dr thanks to a heroic draw 1-1 at Ethiad, so now I'm in the best 32 of Europa League. I will face Genoa in the first, and hopefully not last, turn.
The tactic suffered from the infamous "second season's syndrome" and stopped working for a while, so I was forced to switch to Sacchi's 4-4-2. However, I don't generally get along with these kind of modules, so after a couple of months I went back to the old one. Thankfully, it seems that it's working again (and I love the playstyle!).
I really want to try the original Deep Lying Forward version of the tactic, the thing is that I've never used a DLF so I have no idea about how it should be. My strikers are Bony (suffered from a friggin 3 months injury and his stats dropped a bit, but he's still great), Fierro and Rafinha (Thiago Alcantara's brother on loan from Barcelona).
Another quick question for Raikan or anyone else with experience: I've signed Leroy Fer on a free transfer for next season, thinking to let him play as the DLP. Even if he's got decent defensive attributes I see him more like an "attack minded CM"; so should I change his duty from defend to support? If so, wouldn't the tactic be a bit too unbalanced?
