The longest losing streak in English Football history was set this year by AFC Aldermaston, a non league side from Berkshire, at 40 games, ending with a 1-1 draw against Warminster Town. This beat the previous record of 39 by Stockport County in 1996.

Glasgow Rangers have won the Scottish League an incredible 53 times but in the 1890/1891 season they shared the trophy with Dumbarton. The club has also played in both Scotland and England's national cup competitions. Rangers reached the semi-final of the 1886–87 FA Cup only to be knocked out by eventual winners Aston Villa.

the cup winners cup is not a major european trophy. That would be classed as a minnor trophy.

well would you class the english league cup as a major trophy or the league cup in scotland or what about the charity sheild they all have some of the best teams in both england and scotland playing for the trophy.
i know i was major chuffed when chelsea won it in 1998.
it was a minor trophy like the europa league is and the uefa cup was. yes it's a continential competition but as the top teams in the continent aren't entered it's only a minor trophy.
Liverpool Athletico Madrid Bayern Munich Celtic Rangers Sporting lisbon and lot other top teams from the Continent have been entered in the europa uefa and cup winners cup therefore should be considered a major european trophy

For the record all three European Trophies back in the sixties were classed as a major trophy. Winning any European trophy back then was considered a success and a achievment.

Originally, they played in pink shirts with a black tie, but only because they had been sent the wrong shirts. The father of one of the players made the earliest shirts, but continual washing faded the colour so much that in 1903 the club sought to replace them.
Juventus asked one of their team members, Englishman John Savage, if he had any contacts in England who could supply new shirts in a color that would better withstand the elements. He had a friend who lived in Nottingham, who being a Notts County supporter, shipped out the black and white striped shirts to Turin. Juve have worn the shirts ever since, considering the colors to be aggressive and powerful
