Yo guys basically i'm Inter & play in a 4-2-3-1 with Guardado/Pablo Hernandez as the wingers & Sneijder as an advanced playmaker CAM, my strikers are Eto'o/Milito i know their roles Eto'o Poacher/Milito Adv forward but this game is so in depth i get confused, what do you set run with ball/run from deep to & also what should the Target man Supply be set to? any help would be appreciated.

running with ball is beneficial to fast, pacey strikers who have good first touch, technique and dribbling stats! So Eto'o would be set as often and Milito sometimes (using your 2 players as examples)

run from deep is how often the striker will start making runs past the defensive line once you are in possession of the ball in an attacking area, this is good for quick strikers with good off the ball movement (a PPM can also be tought, moves into channels) to catch the defenders out. Eto'o would have this often, Milito sometimes...

strikers like Guiseppe Rossi and Berbatov who have good passing & creativity would benefit having run from deep set to never to drop down into the pocket, gain possession and start looking to play killer balls or bring in other players around them

Don't play with target man ticked, I think its a farce to be honest! if you do want to use it, for a player like Eto'o it would be "run onto ball" and Milito would be "to feet" or even "mixed"

Thanks Raikan i'm doing a network game so i want to get it right, so Eto'o Poacher, run with ball & deep often and Target man none/supply - run onto ball?

dont use the target man, its ****! if you want to, make sure you select Eto'o as the primary target man and set it to run onto ball :)

no no i mean set the Target man to none & supply mixed right? i've had three games against pretty weak opposition and Eto'o was really poor he should really be banging the in regularly, also Raikan who would you recommend as a young poacher?

Just so you know in the future, your wingers are not Inter quality (especially Guardado - he was a beast on previous managers but not on this one)
That may have an impact on your scoring

was going to mention that too Crowley! not nearly good enough quality for Inter and the level you are playing at!

I mean, DO NOT TOUCH the target man settings! if you want to use it, you have to SELECT A Target Man then select how he is going to be given the ball...

what year are you in? have you used your Non-Eu slot?

i have Guardado as backup as he was cheap, Piatti is injured so i have to use him, ok i'll leave target man Raikan :) 1st year & yes i've used the Non-EU but i'm looking to offload Milito because of his age & wanted to buy a decent young striker, i have Pazzini but i'm not his biggest fan

Pazzini is actually pretty good
At the end of the season you'll get Destro who is a very promising young striker
However, as you're playing a network game, chances are he won't get to reach his potential so you may want to have a look at Abel Hernandez (Palermo) & Lucas Barrios (Borussia Dortmund)

Abel Hernandez - Palermo
Thomas Muller - Bayern
Kouma Babacar - Fiorentina
Alberto Paloschi - Milan/Parma/Chievo
Guiseppe Rossi - Villareal
Vaclav Kadlec - Sparta Prague
Cedrik Bakambu - Souchaux
Ishak Belfodil - Lyon
Yanis Tafer - Lyon
Iker Munian - Athletic

Thanks alot chaps great help, Rossi is one of my fav strikers in real life so i may go for him, would he work well as a lone poacher?

no he wont, he is a good treq or dlf, he is not quick enough or strong enough to play upfront alone, he needs someone to play off/with (that sounds wrong I know :P)

you also really need to invest in better wingers mate, Elia, Navas, Marin, Di Maria, Nani, Young, Jovetic, Mollo, Hulk, Willian, Hazard etc etc :)
