2018/2019 Season

I decided to make some major changes as some of my first team wanted ridiculous wages and were starting to age and with ready made replacements waiting it was an easy call.
I sold Rafael, Kagawa and Baines as i had a wonderkid coming through in each of their positions in Castillo, Renato and Di Gennaro.
Then came Juan Potes at only 23 who is 4 and a half stars and was valued at £38 million and had a release clause of only £29 million.

A poor showing in the cup competitions meant i was in for a dissapointing season the only saving grace was beating Chelseas points record in a season. Potes had already played for two teams unknown to me meaning he couldnt play for me til next season.

One trophy already in the bag and winning 4 games out of four means this was a very good month. Scoring 11 goals was an incredible achievement to go along with the results.

Not such a good month this time around with the main culprits being Tottenham who we drew with in the league then knocked us out of the cup. The end of the month was a good result against my Champions League Groups whipping boys.

3 wins out of 5 and the loss coming against title rivals Chelsea hurt the most, Potes got injured at the end of last month but Vila managed to step up and do amazing in his position, Renato has not been up to his standards he set last year for himself and may well be dropped.

Hes one of thoughs that has come out of nowhere i struggled for a while to get a settled striker after Falcao left and then Tranter had a breakout season and i really thought he would become the main man but Vila has come into his own this year.

Thats right 3 - 0 against Barcelona and it looks weird watching Messi score against them, this victory was all the more sweet for Messi, Thiago and Vila all former Barca players.
Player of the month is Lionel Messi as even though he is seen as past it by some journalists he stil grabs me a goal when i need it.

I saw my squad get stretched quite thin this month with being involved in 3 seperate cup competions and some of the results showed it.
To show how hard the Premier League has become over these past 10 years the Champions League Semi Final draw was as follows;
Tottenham VS Man Utd
Chelsea VS Man City
2 - 0 Everton H

Well i knew we would struggle as Tranter, Potes and Renato have all missed games this month with injuries, we were so lucky with this result as in the second half we didnt have a chance on goal

A hangover from the Champions league game meant we never stood a chance especially with it being at the Emirates. Immediately after this game i started putting offers in for players i felt the squad as a whole needed but the prices have got ridiculous! Players valued at £10million get quoted to me at £60-80 million!

A very lucky win in the end and with my team struggling with the fixture list being clogged up with all these cup games i didnt need 120 minutes for most of my first team.

And we clinch the Title at home against our biggest rivals Man City who literally imploded in the league with terrible run of games.

Two results which yet again show us the frailty of the squad with injuries and suspensions pushing us to the limit along with fatigue, some players are starting games with 70% condition at the moment.

A reserve team will play all the remaining Premier Leagues games to give my players a rest unfortunately the FA Cup final is only after one premier league game, it used to be last game of the season!

A brilliant win after slogging it out for the past 5 months, Its unfair to call Smithies goal an own goal really as it was Renato with a wonder strike which he just couldnt hold onto.

The youth team got decimated here glad to grab a goal but no one in the team was over the age of 21 so they didnt stand to much of a chance against a Newcastle team looking for revenge.

My reserve 11 hardly covered themselves in glory with these two results at least we kept a clean sheet against a West Brom side that finish 7th.
