Replacing My Idol's

''See you tommorow lads''

''Bye boss''

I departed from Old Trafford in my BMW after finishing training. I was a youth coach at Man Utd the manager of the Manchester United 18 squad. It was my dream to be work at Old Trafford even if it was as a cleaner. I had been in love with Man Utd ever since my dad took me to a Man Utd vs Arenal game in the late 70s. I had been a season ticket holder from 1991 until 2002 until I started coaching youth players at Barnet and then QPR but in 2005 Man Utd came in and offered me the chance to coach their under 18 squad. I have been here ever since.

On the way home I turned on the radio hoping to catch the sport at 5 O'Clock but I turned it straight back off when I hear the word cricket. I detest the sport and I detest people even speaking about it. Why cant they be normal and like football?

The second I came in the door my wife ran out into the hall and grabbed my arm tight. She pulled me into the living room and raised her shaking arm pointed at the TV. It was Sky Sports News that was on. ''What is it love?'' But before she had the chance to speak I noticed what she had seen.

BREAKING NEWS: MAN UTD SACK SIR ALEX FERGUSON AFTER 23 YEARS IN CHARGE!!!

---------- Post added at 07:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:32 PM ----------

I rushed to the phone and rang my close friend and work collegue Brian McClair to see if this was true and was astonished to hear that my idol Sir Alex Ferguson had been SACKED!!!!!!! I could hear in Brian's voice that he had been crying and I felt like crying too. It was the end of an era in footballing eyes and the end of the world in the Man Utd fans and players eyes. Fergie had been there since 1986 and yes, he might have made mistakes, but he made Man Utd the most popular club in the word. The Glazers had gone too far this time. The were wrecking Man Utd. FC of Manchester were going to become bigger if the Glazers had their way of doing things. When I came off the phone to Brian I just collapsed onto my chair in shock. I still couldn't beleive it. I only saw him joking around with Rooney and Giggs 3 hours ago and now he was gone. When I saw a Man Utd fan getting interviewed on SSN I turned the volume up.He looked angry.

'' This is the Glazers this is. The came in and tried to boss Fergie around and he wouldn't take it and after he stands up to them, they sack him. It should be them thats going, not Fergie. He is a legend in the clubs eyes and now they will probaly bring in a stupid foreign coach who doesn't have the heart or passion to be manager of us. We need a Man Utd diehard like Roy Keane but he is too inexperienced as are most of the people with that heart and desire.''

It is my dream to manage my boyhood hero's and I wish I was experienced enough to make them consider me but I am not. In saying that I've won 9 trophies in 4 years with my Man Utd Youth team so I must be good somewhere along the line. What is next for the club?

I just sat on my chair trying to get it into my head that Fergie was gone. I kept SSN on so that I could here updates on the story and what was happening at the ground. They interviewed Roy Keane and Bryan Robson to see what they thought about the biggest sacking in football history. They were as shocked as me. Nobody could believe it. Fergie sacked!!!!! The betting came up to see who the bookies thought the new manager would be.

Sky Bet

Jose Mourinho-3/1
Martin O'Neil-4/1
Alan Curbishley-5/1
Mark Hughes-8/1
Arsene Wenger-12/1
Roy Keane-15/1

I fancied Martin O'Neill to get the job as he was unemployed and the club would not have to pay any compensation for him.

Around 6pm my phone rang and I answered it to find out it was my agent, Tom Young. He said that I had to email him my CV as he was going to submit an application for the Man Utd managers job in the morning!!!!!

I couldn't believe it. He must have gone mad. Me as the manager of Man Utd. Never. I emailed Tom my CV around 9pm and then went to bed. It had been a fairly eventful day for everyone associated with Man Utd

This story is an OK one, however you change font styles, colours, sizes. and it looks untidy. keep the same font personally, or if your going to change it, don't make one font bold and stuff.

I think you should use headers for the odds and for stuff like that from LGFIRE's thread. It's in the stickied section, I love using them.

I woke up the next morning disturbing a dream of me winning the European Cup as manager of Man Utd after beating Real Madrid 3-2 thanks to a 95th minute injury time cracker from Paul Scholes. I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 12.26pm. Good job it was my day off. I staggered over to my wardrobe and put on my house coat and went down stairs and into the kitchen. Suddenly I stopped. I just remembered what happened last night. I sent my agent my CV so that he could submit an application for the Man Utd job.

I raced up the stairs and pulled out my laptop from my bag. I opened up Windows Hotmail and I had 1 new message from ''Manchester United Football Club'' with the subject Application. I opened it up and read it.

Dear Mr Sneddon

After the dismissal of Sir Alex Ferguson as manager of the club we recieved hundreds of applications applying for the job. When we recieved your application we were very inpressed with your CV. You clearly know how to run a team and you clearly love working with youngsters. We would love for you to come down to Old Trafford at 5pm today so that we can discuss your application in more depth.

Your Sincerely,

Malcom Glazer

I scoffed down my Wheet-a-Bix in 5 minutes and then raced upstairs for a shower. I was so excited. The Glazers wanted me as the manager of the Man Utd. It was a dream come true. When I got out of the shower I put on my good suit and my best Lacoste aftershave before combing my hair into place. When I finished I looked at the clock. It was 4.31 so I had 29 minutes to get to Old Trafford which was about 20 mins away from where I lived. I ran down the stairs, out the door and into my car before you could say ''Bobby Charlton on a quadbike''.

When I started driving I switched the radio on and onto a sports channel. The topic was obvisouly Man Utd and who would suceed Fergie. The reporter was outside Old Trafford telling us that their had been roumers of someone going to be interviewed by the Glazers. I just smiled knowing who they were talking about.Or when I thought I did.... I turned the radio up-

''I am live at Old Trafford Tony where there has been speculation that someone is going to get the managers job right here, right now.''

I turned the radio off and just smiled happily to myself knowing that I was going to be the new manager of Man Utd

---------- Post added at 09:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:18 PM ----------

How do I put the headlines like goal.com, sky sports, etc beacause i dont understand what LGFIRE says

---------- Post added at 09:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:29 PM ----------

I arrived at Old Trafford and I got an escort up into Malcom Glazers office. I wasn't mobbed by the press or anything as they thought that I was just doing my job as a youth coach. I got told to wait outside the managers office before my agent came out and looking rather annoyed

''They have offered the job to Martin O'Neill!!!!''

''What?''

I was so shocked. I thought the job was mine and all I had to do was sign some forms. This was a nightmare!!!!

Then I saw Malcolm Glazer coming out of his office and pulling my agent in. They were speaking with their backs turned to me. Then I saw Tom smile and open the door.

''O'Neill has turned the job down!!!!!!!! Is yours if you want it!!!!!!!!''

I quickly accepted it before making my way down the stairs into the crowd of journalists. They didn't expect anytjing of me and didn't bother me as I got into my car and drove home as high as a kite.

PS-I am going to start updating with newpaper headlines, etc so dont ask for me to do it anymore.1 more update tonight and then more tommorow.

Tonight Manchester United appointed inexperienced youth coach Daza Sneddon as their new manager. Sneddon, who is the under 18's coach at Old Trafford takes over from Sir Alex Ferguson who got sacked yesterday after a bust up with the clubs owners.

United, who accutally offered Martin O'Neill the job first, appointed Sneddon after the 40 year old Scot applied for the job this morning. We will have more news on this story in coming days.

Yesterday evening Manchester United appointed youth coach Daza Sneddon as their new manager. Sneddon, who replaces Sir Alex Ferguson after he was astonishly sacked from his post yesterday, said he was deleighted at the news.

'' When my agent, Tom Young, said that he was that I should apply for the job I thought he had gone mad but now I am glad he told me to.''

When asked about being second choice to Martin O'Neill Sneddon said ''Would you turn the job down if you were the hunderdth person asked? It is an houner for me that the chairman acctually thought about me and being the manager of my boyhood hereos is my biggest dream which has came true.''

My First Day

As I arrived at Old Trafford in my BMW I saw about 30-odd reporters all standing at the front entanrace obviously waiting for me. Then in the middle of them all trying to push his was through was my great friend Brian McClair who was going to take me up to see the board. As I stepped out of my car there were mic's, pens, paper, camaras all getting shoved up into my face. I felt like turning round and punching them. As I finally reached the door I turned round to see the journalists all being held back by the security staff. I just laughed.

When I got up to the door of the board room I stopped, straightened my tie and opened the door. The first thing I saw as I stepped in was the Glazers all sitting around a large, brown, oak table with the director David Gill.

''Sit down Daza''

I sat down to a smile from the chairman and a glass of water sitting in front of me. The meeting took about 20 minutes with us chatting about the expectations set for me and how much money I would get for transfers. We came to an agreement that we should make a challenge for the title and get to at least the last eight of the Champions League and hopefully beyond. At the end of the meeting the chairman told me that I had to attend a press conference in half an hour. Just enough time for me to meet the players as their new boss and not just a youth coach who works at the same place as them.

When I went down to Carrington to meet the players they were in the middle of a training drill, which was being taken by Mike Phelan, so I stood and watched them beacause I harldy saw the first team train when I was a youth coach. As I stood I was deleighted with what I saw. The pace of Nani. The fitness and stamina of Rooney. How fit Giggs and Scholes were for being old guys. The team looked amazing for just being back in pre-season. When the drill finished I had a word with them. I just said that I wad really please with what I saw and spoke to them about what I expected of them ahead of the new season. When I finished I made my way to the press conference.

PS: I AM LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT MANAGER TO SHARE HIS VIEW IN THE STORY AFTER I PUT MY REPORT UP.ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE WILLING TO CONTINUELY DO THIS.PM ME WITH APPLICATIONS.

Thank you for commenting guy I will keep my text the same from now on

Hmm.... clearly, a lot of effort was put into it but inexperience took it down. Still, it is nice.

I am not bothered about inexperience mate. I am trying to make a good story and you will forget all about it when the games start. Next update in 10-15 mins

---------- Post added at 07:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:31 PM ----------

When I walked through the doors of the conference room all I could see was flashing lights and all I could hear was people shouting at me. Then I noticed the chairman signaling to me take a seat next to him so I made my way over and sat down.

Journalist-Daza, how is it to be the manager of Man Utd?

Me-Its a dream come true. Man Utd is my boyhood hereos and I am so hounered to be their new manager.

Jounalist-Mr Chairman, what happened between you and Sir Alex?

Chairman-This is Daza's press conference and we will only answer questions about his appointment!!!!!!!

Journalist-Daza, everyone is saying you are too inexperienced to be the manager of a club as big as Man Utd. Do you think you have what it takes to succeed?

Me-I see where your coming from but the board have put their trust in me to take this club forward and that is what I'm going to try and do.

Jounalist-How have the players reacted to your appointment?

Me-They seem quite happy that it is someone who they know and not some randomer. They are of course still in shock about Sir Alex's departure but I will soon get the morale up again.

Journalist-Will you be bringing any players in Daza?

Me-I wont be disscussing transfer stories today lads

Journalist-There are reports that you want to sign Sergio Ramos and Robinho. Are they true?

Me-Are you deaf?Did you not listen to the last question?Thats me done for today.Thank you everyone.Good day.

That was it.I was offcially the manager of Man Utd.

PS-Anybody interested in becoming my assistant manager. Please PM me ASAP.I will now update monthly

How predictable. Use a better font, smaller size and don't use terrible colours.

Thanks for the advice guys. I will use the same font and size from now on. The only reason I used bright colours is so it would stand out as the press conference. I will update in about 20 mins

Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea
Chelsea win 5-3 on pens

My Comments:I was dissapointed that after going 1-0 up we ended up getting beaten. I think when we get all of our players back from injury we will be unbeatible.

Premier League

Newcastle 0-3 Man Utd
View attachment 105950

My Comments:We played outstanding today. Our passing and moving was excellent and the third goal resulted in one twos. The ball through by Rooney and the lovely run by own was superb.

Man Utd 3-1 West Ham
View attachment 105958

My Comments:Before the match Avram Grant said that we would never win the title this season and after they went 1-0 up I was dreading what he would say after the match. Luckily we ran riot after they scored with our quick passing and we ended up winning 3-1. The only downside is that Garry Neville picked up a knock.

Blackpool 0-3 Man Utd
View attachment 105960

My Comments: I am really pleased once again with the way we sprayed the ball about the pitch. There were times in the game when we would get 20-30 consecutive passes and that is amazing to watch as a spectator and also knowing that that is my team.We are in great form and lets hope it continues throughout the season.
Man Utd 1-1 Stoke
View attachment 105965

My Comments: After being 1-0 down for 93 minutes it looked like it was going to be a dreadful result to add to the dreadful performance but up stepped Wayne Rooney for a trademark goal. Still dissapointed with the performance and the result but a point is better than no point.

Transfers
View attachment 105961

Chelsea made a ''42.5m'' bid for Vidic and of course I was going to accept untill I saw that they were offering 8m up front a 32m after 48 months so it was NO DEAL.

In&Out

My only signing has been amazing for me keeping Giggs out of the team. Sent a few players out for 1st team experience and sold players that didn't have a future at the club.

Happy with the draw as it could have been a whole lot worse

My player of the month once again goes to WAYNE ROONEY. It was a hard month with some dissapointing results but his goals got us points instead of not getting any.
