My Comments:We got a deserved win today and now we have to work on that and get more. I changed the formation and it worked so I will keep it like that just now. Vidic got booked so now he is out for the next game.

Your not performing that well mate. try a 433, Evra, Vidic, Ferdinand, Rafael, Valencia, Carrick, Giggsy/Suarez, then Rooney, Berba and Owen up top, try it one game.

the attachment links for the match results don't work - try posting up a couple of screenshots per game, maybe the match stats and the player stats screens, that way your assistant can see better how well things are going.

post up a screenie of your formation at the start of every monthly report and if you change formation for any game then post up the new formation, stating what game(s) the relevent formations were used. Also maybe list each starting eleven - these will give a better picture of whats going on

Still have a slim chance of qualifying for champions league second round if United beat Besiktas and top of the table Valencia do United a favour and win their last game against CSKA - i think it would be a good idea to rest one or two of the top players the match before Besiktas to give yourself the best chance of getting the win, then just gotta hope Valencia win too.

Looking ok in the league, scoring as many as anyone else with decent defence. It seems like the few bad results in the league have come against the smaller teams in the league, who are probably shutting up shop and United finding it difficult to break down.

I assume United are still in the League Cup, (i could only see the 3-2 win v Derby) - its nice to challenge for this but its a great opportunity for you to play fringe players and rest the first team players, not the end of the world if you get knocked out, the league should be the priority (also, winning the league cup doesn't show up on your hall of fame record (H))

My Comments:After going 2-0 down I was dreading the rest of the game but there you go.An astonishing performence and an even better win.The game between Valencia and CSKA finished.....1-1 so thanks to a amazing high scoring win we go through by having +4 GD to CSKA's 0.

Assistant Report: December

December was a decent free scoring month, playing some great football which hopefully will continue into the new year. The form of Wayne Rooney has been a particular highlight in an outstanding month.

Top of the table at the turn of the year historically doesn't always mean top in May. If Rooney picks up an injury where are the goals going to come from? Its a question often thrown at United recently so lets hope he stays injury free.

Still alive and kicking in the champions league after a stunning comeback display away at Besiktas after going two down, ultimately scoring enough goals to secure the passage through the group stage on goal difference. It was a close group but the important thing is getting through. Benfica in the next round is a kind draw, a tie United will look to win comfortably.

Alls well it the carling cup too after a tight affair with the Gunners, the late Rooney goal earing the victory which keeps United still in the hunt for the Quadruple!

Only low point of the month being the massive 5-2 defeat to City - while it is easy for the media to jump on United for such a result, winning the next three games comfortably will have brought an end to any negativity. The fans obviously will be disappointed but it is only one game and United sit at the top of the table

My Player of the Month

My player of the month goes to Nemanja Vidic. Not because he has been scoring goals but he has been solid the whole month and the whole season. Chelsea came in with a bid at the start of the month and there was no way I was accepting it. He is the rock of my defence.

January has been a good month towards winning trophies United fans desperately want. Mostly dominated by cup games with just 3 premier league games this month, it was great to go unbeatean and long may this run continue>

FA Cup:
The FA cup started with, on paper, an easy fixture for united - a game many would fancy them to win handsomely. Truth is though, any away games agaisnt lower opposition in the FA cup are more difficult than they seem as invariably the home team see this as their final and often sees lower league teams pull out performances that ar beyond their normal level - United fell vectim to this when pitted against peterborough in the third round, but in did the important thing to do in games like these - dont get beat

The replay at OT was more comfortable for united and they duly progressed to the next round. Aston Villa at Villa park the opponents, a very difficult tie. A vintage first half performance bagging 2 goals decisive enough to hold off Villas second half comeback.


Carling Cup:
United favorites to progress to the final before the two legged semi against fulham. The games were end to end with goals galore, a great advert for english cup football. Fulham gave it their best shot but ultimately Uniteds quality shone through, edging both the games and booking their place at wembley

Premier League:
Not the best few games in the league but despite losing the league lead to arsenal there is plenty of time to catch them. Blackpool and stoke games are two that united fans would expect us to be winning but not for the first time this season we have struggled to break down the teams who sit back and defend - as the title race hots up matches like these will need to be won or we could miss out. A strong performace against Bolton to end the month should be the catalyst for a strong run
