Pre Wolves Game

I didn't know what was happening. What a last couple of days it had been. Lying to my boss. Being scared to go out off the house. Always looking over my shoulder at training. I dont think the boys noticed my unusual antics my I'm sure my assistand did. I sat in my office before the Wolves match thinking. Just thinking. Before I knew it I was sleeping. Only for about 10 minutes before I got woke up by a BANG!!!!!!!!! To my releif it was only my assistant coming to tell me the players were in the dressing room waiting on me. 5.30 kickoffs on a Saturday didn't suit me. When we were walking up the corrider he also said that Wigan had been beaten today which meant they were the first club this season who had been relegated.

My Comments: I started with Macheda and Chicharito up front and I didn't know if it would work but although none of them scored they did play very well and helped us to victory.

My Comments: Just to let yous know during a widweek game Blackpool were beaten which means they are the second team to be relegated inside a week. Now to the match and I am so angry with the first half performance. We were shocking. We were a different team in the second half but we just couldn't get goals. Another must win game in which we didn't win. Gutted that Ferdinand is out for a while aswell.

My Comments:
A great win but another match we went down 1-0. They will have to stop.

My Comments: After going 1-0 up I thought that we were going to get a few but the complete opposite happened. At half time I brought Michael Owen on for his first game back from injury and guess what........He gets injured!!!!!!! I have to beat Man City or it is not possible for me to win the league.

My Comments: Not the way I wanted to round off an up and down season but its over now. Wow. What an experience.

My Player of the Month

My player of the Month goes to WES BROWN after he put in some great performances. Well done Wes!!!!!

My Player of the Year

My player of the Year has to go to this man because although he has been injured for part of the season he did extrodinary when he was fit scoring 38 goals in 43 appearances. He even won the EPL top goalscorer with 26 goals when he played half of what the rest of the leagues stiker played. He also won English Player of the Year and got placed in Team of the Year. It goes to WAYNE ROONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Break Away

Mellieha Bay

Mellieha_Bay_Hotel.jpg

I had to get away from Manchester. There were protesters, jounalists, neighbours and randomers chapping at my door wanting to know what was happening at Old Trafford. They were looking through my windows asking for interviews. It was murder. The fans wanted me out. The club wanted me out. I even think the players wanted me out. I just felt like ending it all. And I dont just mean my job.

When I arrived in Malta it was roasting. And best of all there were nobody pestering me. No fans, journlists. No one. It was heaven.

I settled into my room before having a look around the hotel. There was everything in it. Pool and snooker tables. Swimming pools. Bars. Sauna's. More swimming pools. More bars. I think you get the point. It was massive. And best of all it tool my mind off England and football.

Sunbathing

glowfusion-instructions-200X200.jpg

I lay at the side of the pool on a sunlounger soaking up the rays. It was amazing. All I heard was children playing in the pool and the splashing of the water. It was like something I though of to relax.

I relaxed by the side of the pool for the whole fortnight before it was time to come home. I got into Manchester airport about 9pm before making the 25 minute journey to my house.

When I reached my driveway my heart sank. There were about 80 people standing in front of me with banners and flags saying thing like ''Sneddon Out'' and ''Sneddon Must Go'' and ''Sir Alex=Legend''

I did something then which I thought I would never do. Get into my house alive. I double locked my door and ran up the stairs and into my bathroom to be sick. I couldn't beleive how much I was hated.I had to go now or I would regret it. If I lived that was.

I phoned my agent and told him to get me at Carrington ASAP as I had a meeting with the chairman in an hour. I had to do this now or I might not do it at all.

good story - keep it up :) i'm following

The End?

I arrived at Carrington about 50 minutes later and parked in the 'Managers' space. It was empty. Not a person in sight. But then I opened my door...

As I stepped out of the car I was surrouned by journalists sticking there tape recorders into my face and shouting questions at me. ''Whats happening Daza?'' ''Is this the End?'' ''Have you been sacked?'' I just pushed through them and made my way up to the chairmans office. When I arrived my agent was waiting on me.

''Do you know what your doing?''
''Yes I'm doing the right thing for myself as well as the club.''
''Are you sure?''
''Yes!!!''

Just then David Gill stepped out of the door and welcomed me into his office. We spoke about the weather. My holiday. The ongoing World Cup. Everything except what I was here for.

''Did you see that......''
''I'm resigning, David''

I couldn't put it off any longer. I handed him my letter of resignation and walked out. My agent ran after me. I was half way down the stair when he caught up with me. He told me what I just did as if he thought I didn't know what I was doing.

"I know what I'm doing. I started too big and I failed"
''So.....''
"So what?''
"What you going to do now.''
''Nothing. Your going to find me an other job just like to found me the Man Utd job.''
''Ok boss''
''And make it ASAP. I cant bare to sip tea and watch Loose Woman and Countdown all day every day''

The Phone Call

I woke up every morning hoping that the phone would ring and my agent would have a job for me. I was geting bored of waiting now. There were nothing going. Maybe because the season had just started.

I was getting annoyed now as I had to sign on and when have you heard of a ex Man Utd manager doing that? Everyday what-ifs went through my head. What if I signed more players? What if I didn't take the job in the first place? What if I didn't resign?

Then on the 31st of October something extrodinary happened. I was out shopping for new clothes in Birmingham when a reporter came up with a camera crew behind him. He stuck a mic into my face and said-

"Daza would you be interested? They want you"
"What? Who? What?"
"Alex McLeish has been sacked and they want you. Would you be interested in going to St Andrews?"
"Well I have been out of the gae for a few months now and I am looking to get back into it. I was looking at Championship jobs but Birmingham is a job that very much interests me. No further comment."

I picked up my bags from Primark and went home. When I arrived home it was 9.45 so I decided that I would phone my agent until the morning.

All I could see was blackness but I could hear music. Where was it coming from? I jumped up to realise the covers were over my face and my mobile was ringing. I looked at my clock.10:27. I picked up my Samsung Toco Lite and pressed the botton with just the phone on it to answer the call. It was my agent.

"Hello?"
"Get dressed and get to St Andrews ASAP. You have an inteview."
"The Golf Course in Scotland?"
"No stupid. The stadium in Birmingham"

I jumped out of bed, ran into the bathroom, got washed, shaved and sprayed before neatly putting on my good suit. I jusmped in my car and off I went singing happily outloud.

Deal or No Deal?

Birmingham+City+FC+%28Blues%29+vs.+Burnley+May+1+2010+-+024.jpg

As I arrived at St Andrews all I saw was fans and cars waiting outside. Word must have got about that I was coming to have talks of becoming the new manager and they all wanted to see if it was true. I drove through the crowds and throught he big gates into the Club Carpark behing the stadium. When I got out of my car I saw my agent standing with his briefcase at the Entrance waiting on me.

We got took up a few flight stairs by a receptionist until we reached the board room before she left us. My agent chapped the door and waited for the shout of someone inside until he entered. When I go through the door I saw three men sitting at the table. Carson Yeung (The Club President), Vico Hui (Chairman) and Michael Wiseman (Vice-President).

The welcomed us by sitting us down and pouring us a glass of water before trying to sweet talk us. They said things like how they new that things didn't go well at Man Utd but the thought with their backing that I could take the club to big things and they were happy to back me with financial resourses.

I was deleighted with their ambitions and their trust in me and I really so this as an opportunity to kickstart my career. They had money which I would need to do my job and they were willing to give me some. After talking contract negotiations and how much money I would get I finally accepted the job and I was now the new manager of Birmingham City without even applying for it!!!!!!

First Day

I arrived at the stadium around 8:30am for my first day of being manager of Birmingham City F.C. The Carpark was empty. I think I was the first in the ground. Well except from security. I got in early to----------

As I entered my new office I breathed a sigh of relief. I had finally got a job and I was happy with it. I placed my briefcase on my empty, new desk and took a seat on my new, leather, swivel chair. I had a look in the drawers attached to my desk but they were empty aswell. The only thing in the room was the furniture and a picture of the club badge on the wall.

The first thing I did was go onto my computer and get the contact details for some people to do some buisness with. Sacking and Hiring. Thats what I had to do.

Staff Out

Steve Leonard (First Team Coach)
Terry Brindley (Coach)
John Pryce (Physio)
Peter Shaw (Physio)

Staff In

Paul Hilton (Coach)
Mark Smith (Coach)
Niko Kovac (Coach)
Ricky Sbragia (Scout)
Ed Van Stjin (Scout)
Ray Clarke (Scout)

I followed that up by going to meet the chairman and discuss the rest of the seasons expectations. We agreed that because we were sitting 18th at the moment that we would be happy with a minimum of a mid table finish and in addition he would give me 22.5m for transfers.

PS. I am now going to update monthly.

Good story here, very unlucky in season 1 with striker injuries etc.

Good story here, very unlucky in season 1 with striker injuries etc.
agreed, also it was so close as well between the top six anybody could've won it, with fit rooney then you probably would've got better results

still looking good so far. brum should be a good challenge, but you can do a lot of damage with 22.5mil. try signing kadlec in on loan. i took over west ham around this time in the same position and he was easily my best signing (loan or permanent). just scored for fun

hey daza you still doing this?

Have had a lot on guys. I will try and get back to this and if I dont well look out for a FM11 story which I have ambitions for to continue it for at least 25 pages!!!!!!!!!!!!
