I completed FFVII again recently, just because I couldn't find another RPG game that would draw me in at the time. It is still my favourite Role-Playing Game of all time I think, and I've played a lot of them.

I was also playing Age of Empires II: Conquerors over LAN with some friends a few days ago.

That's pretty much as nostalgic as it got for me recently. I've never played either Homeworld game, would you say they are worth getting now if I haven't tried them before?

Interesting, I may obtain them legitimately *cough* and play through them then. I heard good things from one of my housemates but wasn't sure if I'd get into them at such a late date if I didn't have nostalgia to drag me back.

I always play Half Life over and over. AOE also...the first pwns all others.

ICO was an epic game on the ps2 that i like to play also.

I never actually played Half Life.
I played the 2nd one though and the graphics fairly blew me away at the time.
Modern games look and sound great but they lack the playability of the old stuff in my opinion.

I fancy a game of Panza kickboxing now, but my Amiga is sadly gone to the skip in the sky.

Used to do this when the PS2 came out at easter we'd go to a carravan for the week or a few days and take the old PS1 and play all the old games. Done it recently with The Warriors game for PS2

I would love to play some of my old games but my PS3 hasn't got backwards compatibility.
Some of the games i loved playing:
- Croc
- Crash Bandicoot
- Spyro The Dragon
- Abe's Odyssey
- Mega Man
- Bomberman
- Tekken 3!
- Super Smash Bros
- Driver
- Tomb Raider

Played KOTOR 1 + 2 on Xbox and recently bought them off Steam, just as epic as I remember, shame I've moved on to Mass Effect (pretty much the same game I know! :P)

Also bought Broken Sword for like £2 off Steam which amused me for a few hours before realizing how **** it was, and how I could never get anywhere without a walkthrough XD

Does anyone know some good RPG games? Was thinking about going back to Baulders Gate or Final Fantasy but not sure.

RPG Games rock. Oblivion and Mass Effect were amazing not got Mass Effect 2 yet.

Dug out FM 2006 the other day. Good times. :D

Agreed, I love The Hitman series. :)

I've just got X3: Reunion on Steam, and found Freelancer too. Two of the best space simulation games out there for the PC if you like that genre. X3 has a steep, steep learning curve, so beware.

Every year or so I reinstall C&C Red Alert 2 and have a few games.

I also do like playing Grim Fandango. Still never completed it though.

At the moment I have Resident Evil 2 installed on here but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. I do play the original Resident Evil (on the DS) though and it's brilliant!

Agreed Grim Fandango and Monkey Island can NEVER be topped for me :)

Yes!

I have a PS2 emulator as my PS3 isn't one of the ones that have backwards compatibility, so Final Fantasy X has been played through a few times on the emulator. Terrific game! Can't wait for the release of XIII for PS3 either. Want to echo the call for FFVII as well, classic. Also play Red Alert.

On the PC, I still play the ever magnificent Transport Tycoon and Rollercoaster Tycoon games, endless enjoyment.

Tell me about dude. Found my old rollercoaster 2 and 3 tycoon games whilst clearing out my room the other day such a fantastic game. I just completed all the missions on rct2 and started playing rct3 kept me off fm for a while now.

Seeing how C&C Red Alert 2 has been mentioned in here already instead of creating a new thread I thought I'd let you know C&C Tiberian Sun (& Firestorm) have just been made Freeware. As well as the original Red Alert and Tiberian Dawn.
