Tahiti v Kingstopia
@ Stade Olympique, Papeete
Match Report
First Half:
Tahiti started off the brighter side putting a shot narrowly over before striking the crossbar on 12 minutes. Kingstopia were 1:0 down by the 27th minute after a Tahiti free kick bounced off Ben Gardner (C) in goal & the rebound found a Tahiti striker who put it in the net.
Second Half:
At half time Steve McCarthy (T.W.) & Alex King (K.R.) came on for Rory Cresswell (u) & Chris Butterworth (K.R.). Just after the restart Tahiti struck a shot from quite far out which found its way past Gardner & in to the goal. 2:0 to Tahiti. On the 50th minute John Towler (T.W.) ran half the length of the pitch showing what the Kingstopians are capable of, but put the shot narrowly over. While the Republic of Kingstopia were enjoying their best spell of the game, Tahiti snuck a 3rd goal in against the run of play. At this point the usually calm & collected General decided he had seen enough & promptly left the Stade Olympique in Papeete. Half time substitute King did grab a consolation goal late on, scoring his first ever international goal & Kingstopia's 2nd international goal.

Thursday 18th November 2010
After 4 games that yielded 2 draws & 2 defeats, Republic of Kingstopia's political leader & international football team manager General Paul Grundy is to step down as international manager. It is thought that he will leave the position to a suitable candidate that he will chose with the advice from the KFA. It is not known yet if our glorious leader is planning to take up mangement of a domestic side or take a break from the game to concentrate leading his glorious nation.

VT are pleased to learn that the General is stepping down! Unfortunately not as evil dectator of the nation, just as the national football team manager. We here at VT were over the moon with this news & we hope his replacement will alow the East Kingstopian players back into the squad to complete the team. We will eagerly wait for confirmation that this cancer on our country has at least let go of one of his sources of power.
