they said about Ozil, oh wait. Very good move for Sahin in the middle future. He will rotate at first and become first team eventually.

Just my opinion, I stand by him being a bigger success at Manchester United where he would get his ability to shine through straight away and I really did think he would be an amazing replacement for Scholes.

he'll do it at real too. he is the only xabi like player they have, he'll get a good number of games

I honestly think he is more dynamic than Alonso. He likes to get forward a lot more, rather than sitting deep and playing the 'quarter back' role that Alonso plays. To roam forward though, he needs the holding midfielder alongside him. I'm not sure Alonso and Sahin would work as a midfield partnership, but I really hope Mourinho doesn't put the shackles on his forward running in trying to replace Alonso for the future. I'm really intrigued to see how Mourinho works his midfield next season.

I do think he'd have been perfect for United though. He has the physical ability to cope with the demanding speed of the premiership and the technical ability to shine. He'd have been a real fan favourite

Exactly. I was about to post this. Sahin will work well with Alonso. It reminds me of Scholes and Carrick in 2006-07. Both had excellent passing ability and Carrick played Alonso role. I'm sure Sahin can play Scholes role. He is very mobile than Alonso and get support both attack and defense. He is aggressive too. Would have loved to see him in United. I think he will become a massive player for them.

Just to correct something, the OP of this thread mentions a price of 12 million pounds.
In reality, it's 10 million euros which translates to 8.8 million pounds.

It's 13 million euros which is approx. 12 million pounds.

I was actually dreaming for him to be joining Man Utd. He's an incredible player and has a huge passing range. I thought he would be Scholes' replacement as I seriously can't find anyone else that could play as a deep lying playmaker IRL anymore. The only other one available right now is Pirlo, which would be fantastic to have.

Anyway, I'm sure Sahin would do well in Madrid. People were saying the same things about Ozil when he joined them last season - take a look at how important Ozil is to RM now. Mourinho is a world class manager, and he would put the players onto the field as long as they are good enough and are doing well in training.

What people should understand is these are all done by Jose. Now Jose have the say in who is going out and who is coming in. This is not the circus signing that used to happen before. If Jose is signing Sahin then he is in Jose's plans. Simple as that.

Don't watch a lot of Bundesliga so I've only seen him play once or twice but if he's similar to XA than it's a good move because RM really struggles when he isn't in the side. Sometimes they will be able to get away with playing both of them in central midfield, but much of the time they won't since it leaves them without a steely ball-winner in the midfield and thus vulnerable defensively, and when the midfield combo isn't Lass-Alonso it will be Lass-Khedira. He won't get much playing time but he'll be a useful back-up if he settles (which is an if, since it's hard to become a team's tempo-setter without much time in the squad). 12 million is a bit much for a back-up but that's RM for you.
