In this, I will be incorporating two challenges into one story!

Basically no signings, only youth!

Challenge B - San Marino Challenge

Who doesn't know this challenge ?

To start the challenge i will be a team who don't rent youth facilities, so i will do a random chooser between these teams!

So here we go!

There are positives and negatives to come from an amateur club!
+ don't need to pay wages!!
- players can be stolen quite easily!

To counter this we need to get professional quickly which means winning is a must!
To win with my youth prospects, I will need better youth facilities which are currently pretty sh*t!

We have a balance of £33k, to be honest, i have know idea if this is good or bad for the league ?
But it can only get better! Especially when we enter Europe!

Moving onto the competition,
due to the dynamic reputation of the leagues, one of my main goals for this story will be to improve the reputation of the league!

Currently sitting in 290th, we are pretty low to say the least!
Aslong as we succeed and continue to improve, then it should be a fun game to get to number 1 !!!

One of my biggest pet hates with football is the league sorting rules in most European Countries!
Why on earth would results between the teams matter in a full season of games!
The league is about skill, not current form!

So I may winge about that during my story and I apologise now!

As you can see, I dont have much to work with here!
I will be relying heavily on the youth as they come through, because my team is pretty bad!!

The strike force doesn't seem to bad, and my left side "will do"

I will sort my tactics around the front 2 and see what i can achieve!

And they are not what I am used to haha!!

1 San Marino, so hopefully I can get him playing for the national squad!!

Staff are pretty short at the moment,

I will need to bring more in, to reduce workload otherwise "all of my coach"
will be overworked, and we dont like that do we!

I will probably try to use my retiring players as coaches, so I can show loyalty to them, as they showed it me! :p

- I didn't start as the national team, I thought it would be more fun to work my way up, and eventually make my name enough to become the manager!

I'll follow as im playing a San Marino save now :D
With all the restrictions and not using San Marino Calcio this will take you decades if not centuries but good luck anyway, only thing i'll ask is when you screenshot players can you make sure they're attribute graph is visible :)
 
Good Luck mate, hopefully you will be able to keep hold of your best players, unfortunately as soon as you start doing well other clubs will probably come after them.

yeah, straight away my best players seem to be leaving! , its really not good :(

Normally if you also offer them a new amateur contract they will accept, although I've found I don't always get the chance to in this league. You'll probably struggle for depth a little early on but as soon as you turn semi pro, which will take a long time, you'll be safe from having your best players poached.
 
Season 1 - Pre Season Update

The transfer window has closed,
The season is 11 days away!

Last minute training underway!
The tension is rising!!

Buying noone is hard, especially with my scout bringing me 5* rated players!!

Good News:

Junior Coaching has got 1 better, Still not worthy of a mention though haha!
Number of coaches Increased to 2, Sacked old coach, now specialise in tactics and defending!

Dreadful News:
No parent club :( "financial benefits not worth it"
Not enough funds to upgrade any facilities

I am not sure yet haha :p
I will keep a track of who my regens are, and probably only sign those players if they ever go missing :p


I think the main aim of the game will be not to get sacked :p
 
Oh you like punishment! Doing this and not managing Calcio, Regardless this looks like a proper challenge and i'll be following :)
 
this look like a very good challenge I saw someone attempt it with Murata in fm12 on another forum anyways kutgw and are there not any Italian veterans floating about on free transfers?

Free transfer = signing

only signing I will make is my regens who leave :p
 
Season 1 - September - October Review

After a horrifying start to the season, a reviewed tactic change turned out to be successful winning my first match with the new tactic!
Last in every group I am in would be seen as unsuccessful to most people, but to me, its more of a stepping stone!

There is a lot of deadwood in the team, but i need to keep hold of it as backup, especially when we dont even pay them hahaha!!

The main league didnt start so well, taking 6 games to win one, so 4 points from 6 games is not the start I had in mind!

Just 3 games in November, so that means a chance to extend our unbeaten run to 4, but it must end at some point ?

Strong win against top of the league! Positive performance from my wide man!

Folgore 3 - 1 Juvenes Dogana (Sanmaranise)

Octavio Folli x2

Good performance all round again! Folli scoreing 2 from the back means he makes the next squad!

Tre Penne 4 - 0 Folgore (Sanmaranise)

Nobody performed in this match, the winning streak of 3 had to come to an end! New top of the league team anyway :p

Another 3 games this month, 2012 is finished and we are moving on to better things hopefully!

Tough game, thought we would ****** one but it went the other way

They are by far the best team in the group, and we deserved to lose this!
We still have a chance though!

Together, I took on 8 prospects, 2 of them will be starters in next years team aslong as I can hold on to them!

Competitions

The board were very pleased with my performance in the league!
Expecting to finish last, and to be honest, I think you all expected me to finish last :p
I think the tactics have paid off and I will further look to expand them in the coming season!
I know the squad I have to work with, and will have them all training on the right stuff in the new season!

Nah mate I love the current layout, great season you weren't far off the play offs at all I presume you get a place in europe for winning the cup in which case I would go for it, as IMO you are probably about 1season making a full challenge for the league, you've encouraged me to take this up if I can fix my constant crash dumping game, p.s. will you be taking over the nt at any stage

you'll be waiting till he retires doubt he will ever get sacked or you could add a manager take over the nt then retire and apply with your manager unless that feels like cheating?
