I remember reading in the Sun that Chris Hughton had 40m for January last year.

'lol' is all I'll say. I do agree this is related to Rooney wanting to quit - circulate stories of 100m available, possibly buy a player for 20m to back up claims in Jan then not spend the rest of the non existant transfer fund.
