Its pretty overpriced for a pc game nevermind an MMO, 45 quid and then another 9 a month. You could get all the WoW expansions for less in total.

Yes, but I have absolutely no interest in WoW, whereas ToR is something I think I will enjoy. That's why it'll be worth it to me.

Just got an email inviting me to participate in the final beta before release, so if you were in the beta last week you might wanna check your email

Yeah, got the email.

My next testing process begins on Friday at 1pm CST.

I'm hoping they've put some effort into solving the frame rate issues, otherwise there isn't much point for me.

Paying 15quid a month is too much :@ Not to mention the affect this game might have on my studies hah

It's the same as World of Warcraft-£8.99 per month

Ah right I meant 15bucks...still keep getting confused between the 2 even though I've been in England for 1 year

I desperately want to get it-but after seeing the prices I'd rather slam my genitals in a door. once the price comes down I'll get it

Been loving this game so far, if any of you people that I actually like get it, go with the Hex Droid server.

Level 44 currently on my main character, a Sith Assassin.

I also have a level 20 Sith Marauder and 18 Imperial Operative.

Clearly I won't be able to give you an endgame perspective as I'm not quite there yet (level 50), but I've found the levelling process enjoyable with the heavy emphasis on the storyline.

That said, I went with a PvP server choice because I've always done so, and always enjoyed world/open PvP on a large scale, rather than arena/warzone play. Unfortunately, because of the 2:1 ratio of Empire to Republic players (on my server; Hex Droid) and the rewards being provided by winning warzones, there is very little of this and it's something I'm having to be patient with. They've stated already that they hope to remedy this in what they're calling the 'New Year PvP Update', which implies it'll be arriving around the start of the year, where there will be incentives for open PvP.

There are also a couple of classes that are being deemed as "overpowered", as you expect from any MMO launch that incorporates PvP, but there really do seem to be issues with a particular Sith Operative if talented specifically and buffed, to the point where their rotations drops tanks without allowing them time to break out of it. As I said, I'm not at level 50 so I can't judge personally, but there is a lot of barking about it on the forum.

Crafting needs looking at, as there are a couple of fields (Cybertech and Biochem) that are worth picking up, whereas everything else is practically worthless since endgame armour is so easy to come by if you're willing to invest a bit of time in warzones.

Anyway, I'm enjoying it like I said. I'll post another update in a week or so when I've experienced level 50 for a bit.

Buying this game today, then will probably have to wait 10 hours while it installs the 15GB+ of data necessary, although WoW is like 10GB so, whatever. Been waiting five years for this, finally it's here! XD

EDIT: I realise I am a month later than everyone else, but, sshh, it's expensive.

Andy, start on the Hex Droid server if you didn't want to join one in particular ;)

I played in the beta and was not impressed. Maybe MMORPGs are just not for me. I found it boring and ugly to look at. No way am I paying full price and a monthly fee for it.

Tower Defence Games

Thought I'd give this a bump, as there's a free trial period from today for a few days. Until the 19th. Very tempted indeed

If anyone plays it, Hex Droid is the server for cool people.
