Use this against 1 striker tactics.

against 2 strikers tactics, see another thread 'Suk Sam 523'

In my opinion, attacking through mid-way and killer passes through opposition centerbacks are very effective in FM2018.

so when we attack, 'Exploit the middle' is a good choice.

It is same when we defense. so it is a good choice that using a defensive mid-fielder or 3 centerbacks.

Mezzala is a roll of mid-fielder that move like a half-winger. so you should not use a winger in same side of Mezzala.

Carrillero is a roll of mid-fielder that is like a bridge between defensive mid-fielder and attacking mid-fielders.

so I use a inside forward in same side of Carrillero.

that's effective.

Team Training : let your assistant manager handle it.

OI's : no

Corner kicks : MCR or MCL

I highly recommend my corner kick setting. I'll upload corner kick setting files too.

( but that's included in this tactic)

I tested this and another 3top tactic in same season. so the result is not a official tested result yet.

anyways i upload this screen. but plz ignore this.

when you face the team that use attacking mid-fielder, this tactic may be useful then 442 tactic.

Looks good, will give it a try. I didn't understand what you meant about when you play against 2 Striker tactics? What do you change?

I uploaded another tactic using 3 centerbacks. see thread 'Suk Sam 523'

Hey guys,

I've given this tactic a go with Watford and it seems positive so far. I'm sat 5th after 5 games and the team is playing really good football. I've not tried the other formation with 3 strikers in the league, but I tried it in pre-season and in comparison to this one, the 532 is a lot stronger from what I'm finding.

I've also used his 'Corner Tactics' and it seems to be working well too. I'm always getting a lot more chances from corners, not necessarily scoring all the time, but it's a **** of a lot better than the default one. I'd like to see if @vanco2 could come up with a defensive corner tactic/free-kick tactic too.

I'm going to play through a whole season and come back to you, but at the moment, I am enjoying this tactic a lot.

Okay so I said I would follow this tactic up once I'd finished the season and here's how I got on:

View attachment 79958 View attachment 79957

The first part of the season wasn't too shabby, but come the second half the wheels fell off of the bus a little bit. The tactic was pretty inconsistent and I was losing games I felt I shouldn't be. I went from being comfortably inside the top 10 before Christmas to falling just outside the top 10 come the end of the season.

The tactic is stable defensively, however I still found I conceded a lot of sloppy goals from crosses. Through the middle of the pitch the defenders/midfielders picked up most things and launched counter attacks straight away. Most of my goals came from long balls from deep in midfield, over the oppositions defenders for either Andre Grey or Troy Deeney to latch onto. They aren't the best finishers in the game, but Gray ended up with 22 goals in the league and Deeney ended up with 14, so it wasn't a bad return.

All in all, it's a pretty good tactic and I found it was effective for what I was trying to do. I'm now experimenting around with some 4-3-3 tactics for the new season and I'll see how I get on from there.

thx for the result. obviously This isn't good enough I think. I'll look for some tweaks.
thx a lot.

Is it ok to swap the AML to an AMR? Will it still have the same results?

on and off

I've found that this works best but is still very on and off in my Stanley save. But saying that the amount of injuries I get isnt helping. I'm finding it very hard to keep back up players match fit.

try to control team training by your self.

adjust general team training intensity level to 'average' or 'low' .

2 matches in 1 week, I recommned to keep it 'low'

I'm already doing this but its not helping, the quality of my staff is poor and I'm trying to get better staff but no one is interested yet. I have a couple of players that are going into coahing so hopefully they will be a bit better and help the problem.

Pieces of advice

Hi Vasco, thanks for all. You helped me a lot starting my career with Leicester. You tactic works very well, I am 2nd of PL. MU is too strong haha. I often use the 442. I would like to try this tactic but my game doesn't read this kind of tactic format. Could you upload it on an fmf format please ?

Sorry for my long sentences, I am french :p.

I have two questions ?

- What are the most important abilities for players in this tactic ? I was thinking : passing, ball control, decisions, work rate, stamina and pace. Do you agree ?

- What "special capacities" should I teach to my players ? WB : Gets forward whenever possibles ? CB : Long balls ? ...

Thanks again for your spare time accorded to the fm community.

thx.

first of all, I already upload 442 tactic at other thread. 'suk sam 442'
but I'm tweaking for more stability.

so far, my tactics need stamina, workrate, speed(accel and pace) for strikers, passing are most important. yeah. you're right.
but in next version, I'll adjust the work load for tactics less than now.

and yeap.
WBs : gets forward whenever possible
CBs : stay back at all time, likes to switch ball to other flank
CMs : tries long range passes, tries killer balls often,
likes to switch ball to other flank
strikers : moves into channels, likes to try to beat offside trap
