End of season(Transfer update)

So after winning the league i knew i would have a tricky summer. There was a lot of foreign interest in some of Title winning squad, and i was also looking to strengthen the squad i had,
I moved early to bring in a couple of youngsters, Valery Kozlov, Peter Markus and Razvan Burlacu on free transfers to help beef up our under 21 side.

Another major bit of news was that striker Iliya Dimitrov will return to us on loan for the entire 2017/18 season. Our first bit of business out was Claudio Gonzalez, We have agreed a 2.5 million Euro bid from Ajax, although the final fee could be towards 4.5 million Euro's.
Despite reported interest from Young Boys, Angel Granchov signed a new contract with a much bigger release clause.
Due to the success of Bulgarian sides in Europe, we have also had a small bonus in competition from 2018/2019

Our final bit of business was to sell Ondrej Blazek to Sparta Prague

July

We began our season with our first ever game in the Uefa Champions League, we were playing Skenderbeu. We started the game on the front foot, and had a lot of possession. we continued to press forward and fortunately in the 90th minute, we finally got the goal we deserved thanks to experienced midfielder Ibrahim Ba. It makes our job a lot easier next week in the return leg.

We begin our league season at Botev(Plovdiv), The game started at a good pace and both sides looked evenly matched. We did manage to get in front early in the second half thanks to a Iliya Dimitrov penalty, and as Botev chased the game we managed to put the game to bed through Kostadinov to give us 3 points.

Our return leg in the Champions League was a lot more straight forward, Grigor Dolapchiev had a stormer at helped himself to 2 goals in the first 20 minutes to finish the tie and completed his hat trick on 41 minutes. In the second half i asked our guys to go out and get the job done which they did. Krastev adding a fourth before Dolapchiev added his fourth and teams fifth. Dimitrov finished the rout after 69 minutes.

Our reward for qualifying is a tie against Greek Champions Olympiakos.
Our first home game of the new season was against Lokomotiv(Sofia), after a 50/50 first half it was the visitors who took the lead, Terziev scoring just before the break. After the break we upped our performance, Sergio Diaz leveling the score just 34 seconds into the half and lazar Krastev putting us in front after 52 minutes to give us 6 points from 6.

The next day i met with my agent for some lunch, it was something we did with our wives every month. Milen had noticed that i was off, he asked was what wrong,
" I don't know Milen" i said, "I just feel a bit down, not my normal self."
i didn't want to admit it but i had been linked to a few jobs around Europe, and i was starting to take notice. I wondered what more i could do at Chernomorets, what else can i win. The club were never gonna be massive, always selling top prospects, i felt as though i needed a change, I explained to Milen and he understood. We organised a meeting to see Mr Sabev the next morning.

The next morning we met Mitko, i had a feeling he gathered there was something wrong and he was eager to get down to business. we discussed how i felt, and how we could sort something out. Mitko accepted my reasons reluctantly, we came to the agreement that id remain as coach until a club agreed to pay compensation for my services.
