Tactic Testing League v1

Very much appreciated if anyone could test this tactic I found... the creator shows his test and is invincible in 2 leagues of his test. I am having good results with it but I`d be interested to see how it goes against the current top tactics.

Poor test with Brentford. Ended 15th. Lack of goals and poor results overall. Tbh whenever I test this person's tactics the results are poor. I dont know how he is testing, but I test all tactics using holiday. Every tactic has the same test, except injuries. However wouldn't count a test with key player/s out for months.

@Will1981 are we allowed to max tactical familiarity or not prior to the season starting ? I think you should set a rule as it’s your work.

I dont think v3 is giving an accurate rep of tactics. I have a tactic for the new engine which is tearing it up when i use it in my game, but if i run it in the test i always get sacked early. The goals conceded seem to be unreal.

So i tried being the manager in the tactic but not actually doing anything in-game like make subs, shouts, change of tempo etc etc and when i do that i win again and dont concede, for me the testing is completely broken atm

no you should not, all tactics should be tested the same way.

I did think it may be an issue with using club teams I always get more accurate results with national teams.

Tactic Testing League v4

consists of 2 test teams:

TOP TEAM all players with a CA and PA of 165
UNDERDOG all players with a CA and PA of 150


these 2 teams will compete in the Tactic Testing League against 10 of the best Nations on FM playing against each other 8 times (88 games in total)

To make the testing as accurate as humanly possible I have made the following changes:

All injuries have been removed and the chances of any new injuries happening have been reduced by 99.99%.

All loans have been removed

All Bans have been removed and players who get sent off will not be banned for next game

Match condition has been frozen.

Instructions:

Make sure "Tactic Testing League v1" is the only editor data file you have enabled

Start a new game

Select Advanced Settings

Select just the Irish Premier League with a small database (this will run in the background for the start date the Tactic Testing League is a international competition which will be drawn in mid February and run from March 22-Nov 22).

Select the following 2 National Teams to manage, TOP TEAM & UNDERDOG.

Delegate all jobs to staff in responsibilities (see screenshot)

Save your game and turn off auto save.

Load the tactic you wish to test into all 3 tactic slots on all 2 teams.

Holiday the game until 1.1.23 with both teams making sure you tick the box "use current match tactics".

Post a link to the tactic you tested (only tactics from FM-Base please) on here.

Post the following screenshots Tactic Testing League Stages and Best XI's for all 3 teams (see post 2).



I hope this is of use to you as it took a lot of time and effort to create.

PS this is not a tactic testing request thread, I will test a few tactics on here from time to time but it is a very time consuming process and my PC is on its last legs.

This is my first attempt on FM23. Great results, amazing attack ( Your strikers will score like crazy), and solid defence. Tested: 3 runs with Arsenal and Atalanta on Holiday NO transfers NO Editor used.

hey, why delegate ALL to staff? shouldn't it be except opposition instructions and touchline shouts, so the assistant won't ruin original tactic?
