32games 9goals 7assists and the third best average rating... not to shabby from right midfield. Poor run of form in that last episode though
 
looks like i didnt get a break this season had a chance when mark flecther got injured then so did i lol ...
 
overall best rating so far... and still no 'player of the episode'? i guess i'm an unsung hero! lol
 
Whens the next update mate? Excited to see what happened at the end of the season!

Team Sky - Road to Glory Episode 5
Nail Biting Finish - End of Season 1


So we left team sky in the last episode in fourth place, one singular place outside of automatic promotion, with just three games in the teams inaugural season remaining, against Crewe, Stevenage and Wycombe. Let's see how those games turned out:

So a two goal win, both penalties, but Team Sky failed to move up a place. Next came Stevenage who, were sitting bottom of the table. It was a must win.

So despite Sky being firm favorites, Stevenage managed to hold on for a draw. Team Sky were still sitting in fourth. Would this draw ruin the season?

Team Sky went into the game needing a win or a draw if Morecambe lost, how did it pan out?

So Team Sky were victorious, with Stewart and Oriyasin scoring the goals, which ensured a win despite a nerve jangling wycombe goal deep into the second half. Was it enough for automatic promotion?

Alas, know, Team Sky lost out on a delirious promotion by a measly 2 goals. If we had secured three points in the Stevenage game, we would have finished runners up, which shows how agonisingly close League 2 was this year.

Play-Offs

So despite obvious disappointment, Sky could still get that wonderful promotion with a good run in the playoffs. They were top seeds and favorites to go up. They're two legged game was against Port Vale, with the first game away:

So a nervy draw and an away goal for Sky put them in a good position going into the home leg:

So an explosive game leaves level aggregates, meaning it goes to extra time, which brought no winner. This of course means penalty shootouts:

So Team Sky are going to Wembley! So how did the team fare in the biggest game of the teams career:

So it was all over, despite valiant performances from a bruised and battered team of younglings punching well above they're weight. An epic year for Team Sky, despite the slightly disappointing ending. Here are the results of the rest of the competitions around Europe:

Player of the Season

Mark Fletcher

A left back with 5 man of the match awards and an average rating of 7.46 leaves us in no doubt that this fan favourite, solid, dependable and cult will go on to great things and is the man most worthy of the prize this year. (Mark 19 Times, this is why no player of the episode, you go one better :) )

I was going to show individual attributes for y'all but they haven't changed too much, so maybe at the end of next season. Heres a picture of the final team stats instead:

i wasn't fit for the end of the season :( hopefully, we should go up next year provided not to many of us are led astray! i hope i'm not!
 
Wow, 37 apps with a Avg rating of 6.80..... Hopefully I'll do better next season and get bought by Arsenal or Barcelona <3
Congrats to the transfered players, great careers ahead!
 
Lol_101 : AS Monaco finished 8th, just outside of Europe league, maybe this will change when you make the first team ;)
