As the mid-way break draws near, Napoli were hoping to go into the interval with a healthy lead at the top.
MATCHES
Parma 1-4 Napoli - Trejo(19), Sosa(46, 51), Quagliarella(80)
Parma's inconsistency cost them, as they crashed to in-form Napoli. Spanish forward Oscar Trejo scored the opener, squeezing the ball past Mirante after 19 minutes. Alejandro Gomez equalized for the hosts with a fine long range effort on the half-hour. Jose Sosa restored the lead a minute after the restart, and made it a two goal lead just 5 minutes later. Quagliarella killed the game off on 80 minutes.
MoM - J. Sosa - A double striker, and a fine performance on the wing.
Benfica 5-1 Napoli - Marcano(68)
Napoli's worst night in Europe. A very weakened side turned out, with Napoli already qualified as group winners. Saviola scored on 7 minutes, before Jara doubled the advantage on 15 minutes. Defender Luisao headed home on 22 minutes. Half time didn't do Napoli much good, with Luisao making it four. Ivan Marcano finished from close range, before Saviola made it five.
MoM - D. Aogo - Constantly tried to provide inspiration, but it just wasn't happening.
Palermo 3-3 Napoli - Bassong(33, 38), Quagliarella(44)
A lively action packed game saw Palermo & Napoli share the points. Pablo Piatti opened the scoring on 10 minutes. Bassong rose high above Bovo to head home the equalizer on 33 minutes. Five minutes later, Bassong volleyed home to give the visitors the lead. Quagliarella doubled the advantage just before half time. A Hernandez strike on 68 minutes seemed to unsettle Napoli. A 74th minute penalty from Piatti levelled the score.
MoM - M. Zeman - S. Bassong - A double, and a solid performance.
Napoli 1-0 Lazio - Zeman(17)
A strong defensive performance from Napoli ensured a victory over Lazio. Napoli started very well, as Martin Zemancut inside before launching past Muslera after 14 minutes. Several chances fell to both sides, but the strong defensive display of Bassong and Marcano made sure tha Napoli took all three points.
MoM - M. Zeman - A goal, and a superb performance.
League Table
Still top, and looking healthy.
PLAYERS
A sour end to the month, but the side look primed to bounce back, after almost four months unbeaten.
PLAYER OF THE MONTH - Fabio Quagliarella
Had to fill the boots of Cavani, and Lavezzi, and stood up to the challenge well.

Napoli are in a very commanding position atop of Serie A, but injuries had forced them to move in the transfer market.
Several players were tipped to move to the club, who are also in the knockout stage of the Champions League.
PLAYERS IN
Andriy Pyatov - Free transfer from Shakhtar
One of Europe's under-rated goalkeepers, Stuart Watson signed him as the replacement for the aging Morgan De Sanctis.
Claudio Pizarro - 300k loan from Werder Bremen
The former Chelsea forward has been brought in as a stop-gap replacement for the injured Edinson Cavani. Extremely powerful in the air, and will fit straight into Watson's side.
Marquinhos - Free Transfer from Flamengo
A quick-footed, skillful attacking player, who has incredible technique, Marquinhos will hope to impress quickly.
Stefano Okaka - 1.5m from AS Roma
An incredibly talented striker, who has shown some outstanding ability. However his temperament is volatile at best, and Watson will have a world-class striker if he can control it.
Mattia Cassani - 12.25m from Palermo
A fantastic attacking full-back, the Napoli board moved swiftly after Watson earmarked him as a target. They took over negotiations to make sure the deal went through.
Ryan Babel - 230k loan from Liverpool
The Dutchman's career suffered a nosedive at Liverpool. Watson quickly moved to loan the player, in a deal many believe to be a try before you sign deal.
Roberto Canella - 2.5m from Galatasaray
The Spanish full-back moved to Galatasaray for 4.6m, to find himself nothing more than a bench-warmer. Napoli were the first club to show interest, and moved rapidly to bring the player to the San Paolo.
TOTAL EXPENDITURE - 18.9m
PLAYERS OUT
Napoli said goodbyes to a total of Seven players, four on permanent moves away, the other three to loans.

Cavani 'Three to Four Weeks From Return'
Injured Napoli forward Edinson Cavani is looking likely to be available within 3-4 weeks, according to specialists.
The Uruguayan, who has missed almost three months of action, flew to Sweden last week, and the specialist has revealed the player will return to full training in three weeks, and will be ready to play a week later.
Doctors feared he would be out until at least May, but this will be a huge boost for Napoli boss Stuart Watson. The return of Cavani will boost the club's Champions League and Serie A prospects, with Quagliarella, Okaka and Lavezzi all inconsistent. However, the club are likely to hold onto Pizarro, who has shown to be good backup for Cavani.
