'Int you a charmer.

I try.

One of the things i noticed, was how far up the pitch be was trying to win the ball, and how deep his interceptions were, signs no real help from in front of him

"Interestingly, Sagna was clearly more cautious on Saturday than he usually is, although his average position data wouldn’t show it as he cleverly adapted the role by pushing up (as he usually does) and looking to intercept passes down the line early to avoid having to make tackles on his wrong foot (which isn’t usually the reason he pushes up).

Sagna’s five interceptions (four outside the box, and one inside) against the Merseyside outfit was more than double what he averaged last season in the Premier League (just over two interceptions per game)* while the Guardian Chalkboards show how he tried to get the tackles he did make in early."

Exactly the points I made in my article mate - although disagree on the interceptions - he made them fairly high up the pitch as the chalkboard shows (when it's working, which atm it isn't!).

so would Sanga be playing LB again against Udinese on Wednesday and possibly on sunday against ManU. ?

Sagna is likely to play in his unatural position but that wouldn't worry me because Sagna is defensively very strong and is also very consistent, you'll never see him produce errors during games.

It's a tough game for Arsenal against Udinese - hopefully Wenger will go with a double defensive combo of Song and Frimpong with the likes of Arshavin and Walcott ripping the defenders with their pace. We all know that Serie A can't simply defend against players who have the ability to pose a thread with their sheer pace.

Plenty of options on the bench too, RYO should be on the bench. I'm just concerned with the defence. That's all really and oh... We better not have a player sent off again! Enough is enough, lol.

it will be Pat Rice :P

Wenger Banned again

Despite that.... Pretty sure it will be Wenger selecting the side. ;)

Arsenal are ready to break the bank to bring Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger to the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are trying to offload Sebastian Squillaci -but they cannot find a taker for the french defender.

Manchester City have been set a deadline of Wednesday morning to complete a deal for Samir Nasri else risk the player being cup tied for the Champions League, with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger looking to include Nasri in the starting XI in their qualifying second leg.

Lille striker Moussa Sow is keen on a move to Arsenal and Real Madrid.

^^^^^I doubt Swinetiger, I mean Schweinsteiger, will ever leave Bayern... I can't see it TBH.

Wilshere out for 2 months?

If that's the case then, oh dear.

Already pulled him from my FT, bad news for Jack/Arsenal.

I think it's his ankle that's the issue.

No Nasri...

Name change time.

"Arsenal can confirm that they have agreed terms for Samir Nasri to move to Manchester City.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who has spent three years with the Gunners, has been omitted from Arsenal's squad which flies to Udinese this afternoon and instead will travel north for a medical.

The move will be subject to Nasri passing a medical and formal registration processes."

Huh. Somehow I wasn't expecting that... After news of talks breaking down etc.

Glad to see the back of him tbh - was decent against Liverpool but if he doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to play and we have to take the money and run for the hills.

But we absolutely have to replace him before the window shuts or we can wave goodbye to any chances of silverware we had this season.

£24m for Nasri financially is...

Out of this world, the only problem is there is 8 days left in the transfer window and it will be somewhat of a 'scramble' to replace him. I (personally) think Nasri was over rated last season, showed no consistency and did go missing in alot of games but he is capable of top drawer things on the ball.

Silverware? I'd actually be pretty content if we just finished in the top 4 and made the knock-out stages of the Champions League. But yeah Wenger really needs to step it up as far as transfers are concerned.

Pressure is on Wenger now, even moreso than it was. He has two exceptional players to replace alon with a centre back, and perhaps a short term signing for the injured wilshere/misfortune in midfield. Rumour he is after a striker too to take pressure off ofRVP. This is a make or break week for Arsenal, and indeed Wenger. But it is Wenger, so there is no need t doubt just yet.

Bendtner not on the plane?

Another one off, why are we leaving this so ******* late?
