will the yellow away be this years 3rd?

as i will buy the 3rd as the away makes me sad :(

with maybe Wilshere #19 on the back

So say Nasri leaves and we bring in Hazard.
I think we will sign Samba. Hoping for Sakho. Another CB Needed? Hopefully, then he can sell Squillachi.
Get rid of Eboue and bring in another RB as cover for Sagna.
Denilson will go hopefully with Willian coming in. (Can play both flanks)
Rid of Bendtner and Rosicky (Promote Frimpong and Lansbury)
If Bendtner goes i hope he brings in Gervinho aswell, (Unlikely)
Anything else?

i dont want both Gervinho and Hazard just Hazard/Gervinho will do me ;)

Wilshere - 19? Or another number for the future? 7 perhaps? Like Liam Brady..

You don't half ask for much lol.

HYPOTHETICALLY:

1. That's the idea, yes. At least - I assume so considering the bid. We also bid for Ribery but pulled out of negotiations when he wanted 175k/week (source close to a friend, if you will)

2. Absolutely not. 1 CB for us this season I think. Don't need another one - Squillaci can go and we have Kos, Djourou, TV5, Samba/Cahill, Bartley. Good enough IMO.

3. Possible, unless Clichy leaves in which case I think we'll keep him for another year. Jenkinson is 19 but is highly praised by a lot of people I think. Not ready yet, but not too far off I think.

4. Apparently so.

5. Doesn't really work position wise but I guess so. Lansbury and Frimpong both deserve to be promoted I think. Afobe could break through soonish too. Very excited about him.

6. Unlikely if we sign Hazard. One or the other.

7. Nope!

In addition to what Joss said, no way will Lille let both go, one or the other. Not like they need the money

I would love Jack as the #7

but Rosicky wont give it up and hopefully stays as i like him

another new signing?

Arsene Wenger has struck back in the battle for Britain’s best youngsters by landing £12million Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The highly-rated Southampton winger, who doesn't turn 18 until August, has jetted off on holiday in the knowledge that he will be confirmed as an Arsenal player on July 1.

The deal for the Southampton academy graduate - seen as the new Theo Walcott, also a former Saint - is understood to be based on achievements and appearances.
His signing is a coup for Wenger after he lost out to Sir Alex Ferguson in the race to get Blackburn’s Phil Jones this week.

Ferguson had planned on adding Oxlade-Chamberlain to his signing of Jones and the impending capture of Aston Villa’s Ashley Young, but Wenger has stolen a march.
Arsenal have held a long-term interest in the England Under-21 international and went close to signing him in January.
The player stayed on the south coast, however, and helped Saints gain promotion to the Championship.
Liverpool have since joined the race for his services, but Arsenal have been aided by the insistence of the teen’s father Mark - who won eight England caps playing for Stoke - that he learn under Wenger.

Saints have no pressing need to sell, but it is understood the Chamberlain camp believe this is the right time for the player to move.
Mark said earlier this month: “Considering where he was at the beginning of the season and end of last season, to have the clubs we’ve been hearing about looking at him, he’s made great strides.

“But watching him and watching his performances I think it’s well deserved.
“He’s only going to get better. A lot of people speak to me and say, ‘Maybe it’s too soon - look at Theo.’ But for me, I think Theo’s doing fantastic, he’s developing as a player, he’s still developing and he’s only young.
“To develop at a place like Arsenal can’t be a bad thing. In my eyes, I’d like him to go there as soon as possible, and continue his development.” http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news...cle746002.html

Already knew this, a friend from college is good friends with Alex and spoke to him about this. He was always going to move to Arsenal this summer. :)

walcott from southhampton, and now Alex Ox Cham too.

incredible

Hopefully the lad doesn't remain one dimensional and inconsistent for so long like Walcott when he joined us. We don't need okay players, we need great players.

Just going off the video I saw of his goals from this season, it looks like he gets into good positions in the box, is fairly good with the ball at his feet, has a good turn of pace when needed and has a cool finish.

Could be a very good player for us. I wonder if Wenger is looking to play Theo at striker a bit more with the possible signing of Gervinho and Oxlade-Chamberlain as well as Miyiachi possibly getting some games depending on WP. Will have good depth for the flanks now, would love to see Theo and RVP play together upfront.

What number should Wilshere have Arsenal fans? #7 like Liam brady? #10? Should he keep #19?

I would say keep Jack as #19 and if we get Hazard give him the #7 shirt

EDIT:

Manchester United are planning a sensational £10million swoop for Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri.

The Mirror has learned that United are exploring the possibility of luring Nasri – who's out of contract at the end of the 2011-2012 season - to Old *Trafford in a deal that would enrage Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.

United are understood to have outlined their interest in Nasri to a third party, although the France midfielder’s agent, Jean-Pierre Bernes, has not been involved in any preliminary negotiations.

Nasri’s reluctance to enter into talks with Arsenal over a contract extension, until he is satisfied with their spending and recruitment plans for this summer, has alerted the champions to his potential availability.

United boss Alex Ferguson needs to strengthen in central midfield and Nasri's creativity and goal threat suggest he would be a perfect replacement for the recently-retired Paul Scholes.

Although United are also tracking £35m-rated Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder and £25m-rated Tottenham star Luka Modric, Nasri may be a more realistic target as he has just the one year left on his current deal.

If Nasri does refuse to sign a new contract, Arsenal would have to cash in on him this summer for a knockdown price or risk losing him for nothing when he becomes a free agent.

And it seems United are ready to test their rivals' resolve to keep Nasri, who earlier this week refused to rule out the prospect of making the controversial switch by joining the champions.

“I don’t know if I will sign a new contract," he said. “Anyway, the discussions are ongoing.

“Do I want to go to Manchester United? First, we should see if it’s real and if it’s concrete.”

Arsenal have offered Nasri a five-year deal worth £90,000-a-week which remains on the table after his representatives asked for time to decide whether to accept it.

More than £10m please. Actually don't even bother Fergie.

Johan Djourou keen for Lille's Gervinho to join

"I have followed a bit of the French league this season and I have to say Gervinho is a great player," said Djourou at an event for his Kemi Malaika Foundation in Senegal.

"I have known him for a long time and he is just a great player … quick, with so much talent and good skills. He is a great, great talent and we need that because he can play as a striker, as a No10 or on the wing. He has all the ingredients to play for Arsenal, that is a definite."

Like Pique saying Fabregas has all the ingredients to play for Barca ;)

And regarding Nasri contract extension, If the discussion is for 20K, then its stupidity not to give him. 20K difference saves 1 Million a year and 5 Million over 5 years. If contract talks break down and sell him for lot less as he has only one year left, then you will lose more than 5 Million on him..

Sunilvk7 what do you think of my above post on Nasri?

Recycled quotes dude. He said a week back and media is running rumors with those quotes.

Ben Smith tweeted this..

Seems #MUFC took first steps in a potential move for Nasri today. One to watch. #AFC

Maybe our interest on Nasri is genuine, but this is all ploy to get better deal at the end of the day..

Great player, wouldn't mind him at OT but that may stall Cleverley which is worrying as I love Cleverley.. :)

Yeah. Very low, though - Arsenal won't sell for less than 10M I think, and with the money you've been splashing, I wouldn't be surprised if we tried to hold out for more. If he goes, I expect he'll be replaced with a signing. Gibbs has a great future if he can remain injury free, but Traore isn't as good and both are young. Enrique/Izaguirre would be possibilities.

I get the feeling this isn't serious interest, though. If they can get him for 5-7M, great. If not, look elsewhere for better targets.
.

Isn't Clichy home grown player as he joined Arsenal when he was 18?

Anyways what do you think of chances of Liverpool getting him below 10 Million? I would say there are not many better LBs than him in the league. Evra, Cole, Baines, Enrique thats it.

In today's game there are no quality full backs apart from few.. So finding a Full back is got to be toughest job apart from out and out left footed left winger..

Ash Cole is the World best left back, no doubt ;)

evra's is close to cole, but i like evra's attitute of 'getting the work done'
agree with u, buying full back is not like buying strikers or cb, wingers, etc. (lol, gk)

Clichy is HG status. he was our backup LB when Cole was in arsenal.

What number should Wilshire have Arsenal fans? #7 like Liam Brady? #10? Should he keep #19?

RVp will have the #10 on the long run, just like Berkhamp had.

#7, umm.... let rosicky decide his future, 30yrs old by next year, and another 5-6 yrs till retirement.

jak might stick with 19 for now, 7 is an ambitious number

---------- Post added at 01:46 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:42 AM ----------

Assuming Bendtner goes (I hope he does), who will replace him then? If anyone at all...

then we'll have , RVP and chamk on the attack, 2 Strikers. risk factor.

we can have walcott up front, and let hazard that the right wing, and nasri (that ***** better stay) adn vela switch at teh left.

ashavin and rosicky might be cup game players by next year. fingers crossed

Anything else?

the dismantlement of Lille Osc. recent champs of france, i dont thing they'll lett both go any where. its either hazards or Gervhino
