chamak finished the job at the first half of the season, and RVP does it in the second half. ****!!!

vela might as well leave, since gervihno is coming to town.

LW: ashavin/nasri
RW: walcott /Gervihno

Granted, but with RVP's injury record. 21 goals in half a season may be all well and good, but playing for half a season isn't good enough. Vela isn't good enough for an Arsenal back-up IMO. I personally don't think he will make it big at Arsenal. We need a new dimension to our game, a good poacher as a potential second striker would really add to Arsenal's depth. I wouldn't mind if Walcott was pushed further up, however I don't think he quite has the eye for goal after playing so much on the wing, time will tell. I'm not talking Falcoa/Benzema quality, just some-one who can come on and do a job on the scoring-front.

i think he said something about 'if' he scores 20 this season, then he will make himself a striker.

he said it after destroying blackpool in that 6-0 match.

I'm assuming Gervinho coming in means Bendtner will be leaving? Hopefully. With Bendtner leaving for around the same money would just mean essentially a swap. Very happy with that.

YUp, since he was a makeshift RW, despite being a ST.

so that leaves us with 2 ST's, RVP and Chamks

Gervinho is more of a striker than a RW. As you say, may be used as a make-shift right winger.

I would like to see Willian signed as a right winger to give Walcott a chance upfront, though.

RVP, Gervinho/Walcott, Chamks and Vela. (Not too bad!)

Bendtner's said to be 100% committed to leave the club in the summer regardless of transfers.

Superb stuff. He's completely useless IMO anyway. Perhaps may make it elsewhere, but I doubt it.

He's not completely useless; the goal against Stoke he scored the season before last shows he's got heading ability and technique, but that's pretty much where it stops. And he's not afraid to come deep and shoot from distance, just not very well. Hope he does make it elsewhere because he's certainly not good enough for Arsenal's first eleven like he says he is.

Perhaps not completely, but the most part.

I would be VERY surprised if Giggs had 267 assists. That's better than 1 assist/game for 15 odd years. Remarkable consistency if that's real - what's your source?

Anyhoo:

"The player with the best minutes per assist in the top five leagues for 2010-11 was @cesc4official (one every 172 mins)."

"@cesc4official also had the best min/chance created from open play - one every 28.6 minutes - in Europe's top five leagues. 30m Euros? Bah"

17 - Arsenal had the most different goalscorers in the 2010-11 Premier League. Variety.

7 - Thierry Henry has converted 7 of his last 9 shots on target in MLS. Bull.

18 - Robin van Persie equalled the record of 18 goals scored in a Prem Lge season from Jan 1 onwards held by T Henry & @Cristiano. Machine.

70 -Since his debut no player has provided more assists in the Premier League than Cesc Fabregas (joint with Lampard). Coveted

Surely you mean 1 assist every 2 games?

Cesc Fabregas: 'I'm an Arsenal player, I'm very happy there and there's nothing more. The rest is speculation'
