No, He never even mentioned Torres or Carrol, That was you, trying to be smart.
The point remains Fabs value has decreased in his opinion and mine, He never put a value on him, Your presuming everything here.
Personally i think Arsenal had a right to demand 60 for Fab last year, not i say Closer to 50. Does that make me wrong.
I'm not trying to be smart at all. I'm using other examples to say that a player's value doesn't necessarily decrease when he's had an off-season (which, as proven by GC - didn't REALLY happen. Not as good as previous ones, but still pretty good).
The point I'm making is that Sandro Rossell HAS put a value on him. He bid £35m last season, and now says Cesc is worth less than that. Thus Alcaraz either didn't do his homework, or agrees that he's worth less than that £35m.
All Rossell said was that Fabregas value has gone down which is true as he had a decidedly average season and he did not help Arsenal win anything btw having completed 38 through balls does not make u a great player by any chance so thats really u trying to fish out stats from nowhere
Again - that's not what he said. He's said that he bid £35m/€40M last season, and that Cesc is worth less than that now, which is **** as proved IMO by the examples I've used. The market is inflated massively - especially for English players, but generally as well (Torres going for only £10m less than Kaka went to Madrid for). Him trying to get Cesc for less than that is ridiculous.
And I wasn't fishing out stats from nowhere. I didn't use the stat I posted to back-up my argument at all. I just found in interesting an posted it as a side-point, because it is impressive. If I wanted to research the stats to back up my argument I would have done this:
22 starts, 8 goals, 11 assists. So Fabregas has assisted or scored 19 goals in the season. That is brilliant. Enough of this **** about Fabregas not having performed well, he was good, maybe not his best but good. That's hardly surprising considering him having to adapt to a new position and being hit by injuries.
Rosell can say all his wants, but Fabregas' value doesn't exist. It will exist when Wenger sets a price for him, but as of it it hasn't increased or decreased because it doesn't exist.
And having 15 more completed through balls than any other in the division marks you out as rather special.
I am not saying Fabregas did not do well, All I am saying was that he was not brilliant which is fair enough
Btw I hold my stance, maybe he did deliver more through balls than everyone else but then you would have to look at the role and freedom he has been given and also maybe Wengers tactics encourage strikers to run onto balls while other teams dont.... and realistically there is hardly a more creative and Xavi-type midfielder than him in the PLM
LOL. Our football is hardly direct - we tiki-taka around the box for 20 minutes and then lose it. If anything, players like Hernandez and Torres encourage more through balls than Robin van Persie.
And there's plenty of creative players in the league: Silva, Rooney (as a #10), Giggs, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard, Wilshere to name a few obvious ones.
They could not buy Sanchez and be able to afford him.
But they want a striker, so unless they pull out of the Sanchez deal and sell Villa, they won't have enough money because Rossi appears to be their 2nd choice.
